Beautiful place.
Pros:

Staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival.
Room was amazing, had everything we needed. Lovely views with neighbouring cows.

Cons:

If anything the shower pressure was a bit weak but that was no biggy.

Sudbury town is worth a visit, the hotel isn't the highlight of the trip.
Pros:

Lovely building in a beautiful setting.

Cons:

Sadly the hotel is slowly deteriorating, breakfast get slightly less impressive every year, it seems to close the facilities earlier and earlier, and each visit, I feel the customers are becoming less and less valued.

We booked two rooms, a twin and a double. The twin was very nice indeed, unfortunately the double was small and on third floor, no lift and the stairs were worn and tired looking

A good location for a short stay
Pros:

The location of this hotel is what makes it appealing. The staff at the reception desk were friendly. A fan was provided in our room and the provision of a sheet rather than needing to use the duvet, was appreciated.

Cons:

The room was very hot and stuffy with a window that only opened a crack and there was a lot of noise outside the window early in the morning when bins were being emptied below it.

Lovely place but in need of some attention
Pros:

The location was absolutely great. The staff were brilliant the room was very nice. The breakfast was lovely and even had a lovely afternoon tea.

Cons:

The room but was very uncomfortably hot with only a small desk fan, the shower was low pressure and only one position and you couldn’t open the windows due to outside being covered in cobwebs and midges due to the lake. The corridor leading to the bedroom could of done with a good Clean

Enjoyable on whole would go again and recommend to others
Pros:

Location great. Hotel was really nice and would def go again . Although we missed it . Live music on terrace at weekend was a great idea. Staff were lovely and helpful

Cons:

Bit untidy outside . The carpet at entrance and outside terrace (which was lovely )looked like it needed a good sweep… small thing but let it down. It’s such a lovely spot but def needs better housekeeping in communal areas
As no shops nearby a couple of bottles of water in room would be helpful.

A pleasant stay in a n excellent location with lovely views over the common land and mill pond.
Pros:

Location and lovely selection of fresh fruit for breakfast

Cons:

Too hot despite a free standing fan in our room. The glass corridor was like a sauna so maybe some insulating blinds.
