Lovely position. Bar and restaurant really good. Evening meal was great. Staff friendly.
Room had a good view but was a bit dated.
Breakfast wasn’t good.
The location is very convenient if you are visiting Sudbury or the surrounding area. Having on-site car parking is also very useful
The sink in our room had a massive crack in it. The windows were also in very poor condition and seriously in need of redecoration and repair but a tired room in need of updating was nothing compared to the breakfast where guests ordering fried egg on toast were presented with a fried egg on a saucer and told to make their own toast. It was so bad that despite the fact that breakfast was included we paid for breakfast elsewhere on our second morning.
Staff very helpful and friendly
I asked for a room as low down as possible, knowing there were no lifts. It was only after I had paid that I was informed there were no single rooms on the ground floor but I could pay an extra 30 pounds per night and be housed on ground. There were about 35 steps up to my room and then 7 down. Had I known this I might well have cancelled. I thought I could have been told earlier
Excellent location
Room with a view
Everything was perfect, staff went above and beyond.
Nothing, all was perfect
Good location to access Sudbury. Breakfast was really good.
The shower wasn't very effective, low pressure.
Room was a good size and location was great
Shower was really bad. Water pressure was appalling and struggled to shower both days.
Perfect for a couple of nights to visit family. Staff were all very friendly, and in a lovely setting. We will use again for our next visit.
Nothing to note 🙂
Breakfast was lovely
Would been nice in been lift as many stairs but all was ok as we young enough to go up stairs

Very nice plenty to choose from
Fabulous location - large car park adjacent to the hotel and the room was well appointed. The bar / restaurant areas had ample space - the turning water wheel is certainly a great feature!
All of the staff were really friendly and made our stay memorable, plus the food and drink choices were very good.
