Playa Palms Beach Hotel

With plenty of time to cancel, we took a day off our vacation in Cozumel to make sure we would be happy here. We met with Alfredo. He confirmed we would be in room 213, which we liked. He even gave us the. WiFi code for 213 to let us know the room was locked down in their system for us. Then we arrive 2 weeks later and the staff has no idea what I am talking about. The hotel lied to us (Alfredo?), so they get this bad review. The room we have is not as good as the room we were promised. Alfredo???

Stunning location, small direct beach with loungers and umbrellas. Studio was spotless with ocean views. Very friendly staff. Close to 5th avenue but far enough away so sleep wasn’t disturbed. Air conditioning was perfect.

We had a great stay. Having a kitchenette was a great addition that gave us more flexibility in our days. We loved the more independent feeling as compared to staying at an all inclusive. The staff were great and really attentive. Alfredo was friendly and welcoming. Carlos helped us arrange an amazing excursion (Tulum/Cebo/Cenote). Mike was our wonderful room helper. Would definitely stay here again if I go to Playa del Carmen

The sunrise is gorgeous here. The staff is excellent. It's a quiet, safe place with everything within walking distance. I rebooked to stay longer.

I like vacation to family

The place is really cute, the view from my room was amazing. I left the screen door open at night, and fell asleep to the sound of the waves lapping on the sand - I had the most restful sleep. There is no elevator, I was on the 3rd floor, and I had a a couple pieces of heavy luggage they helped me with. There is a Nespresso coffee maker with the pods, I was so happy about that. The hammock on the terrace was comfy.

I’ve stayed at Playa Palms Beach Hotel a few times now, and it has truly become one of my favorite spots in Playa. It’s an authentic experience—not overly modern or flashy, but that’s exactly the charm of this adorable boutique hotel.

Our oceanfront room came with a little kitchenette, which made it easy to enjoy coffee and snacks while taking in the incredible view. The property itself is clean, safe, and well cared for, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. It’s also wonderfully quiet. If you’re looking for a party scene, this isn’t it, but if you want to relax and actually hear the waves, this is the perfect place.

The location is also fantastic—very walkable, with a beach bar right next door and plenty of restaurants just a few blocks away. Playa Palms has that cozy, laid-back vibe that makes you feel at home, and I can’t wait to come back again.

I stayed in a studio with ocean view. It was fantastic! The room was clean and I had a great stay. Very close to the Quinta Avenida with plenty to do… Restaurants, cafes, shops, clubs. Everything within walking distance.

It’s a great place to stay so close to night life, restaurants, convenience stores, the personnel so helpful and nice, the cleaning lady did little animals with the towels that was cute. I would come back anytime. I love the room, it had a kitchen with microwave, utensils, water, toaster, refrigerator, coffee. 10 out of 10

Alfredo and Karen did an excellent job! Alfredo went above and beyond! I mistakenly reserved for different dates and he helped me to fix it. He also help us to leave our luggage while we went on a tour. Karen did great as well. Definitely will go back to the place.

This was our 2nd time staying at the Palms. Very nice place to stay. The staff could not be nicer and more helpful. Very nice hotel.

The view right next to beach

I’m glad we chose to stay in this property to explore the beautiful country as it is our first time in Mexico. The staff, especially Carlos (concierge), Karen (receptionist) and Dahlia (housekeeper) are very helpful. Absolutely great customer service!
We were in the family room, so it was very spacious for our family. I do believe it needs a little bit of an upgrade in the basement, as some of the floor and wall paint or coat starts to chip. Nevertheless, we still love the design of the rooms, very authentic.
