I wasthere for one night excellent place to stay
Pros:

Breakfast was like any others hotels. It is quit close enough to everything but not on the main street. Even got to see wild horses walk by.. staff was pleasant. Even thought it was getting a paint job on the out side not what bad. Wouldn't again

Pros:

I honestly miss the old colors and old set up, we saw the new remodel and its nice but it kinda took away the vibes and the character from the building :( still 10/10, we are already planning our 3rd trip back!

Cons:

The white walls and the new remodel :( the old theme was more cozy, where as the new theme is modern and less charm.

It was okay.
Pros:

The breakfast and front clerk

Cons:

The pool is so cold, and there was a leak of the pool area that the hotel was aware of and yet had us stay in the room right next to it. We had to pack up and move rooms because the water leak made its way into our room.
The 2 rooms were inconsistent with amenities and cleanliness.

Good stay in Ruidoso.
Pros:

Great location, friendly staff, and good breakfast. Our room was part of the recent renovated rooms and it was clean and updated with all the modern touches like USB ports and lighting. The hotel was under major renovation during our stay. However, it was in no way a bother to us. The renovation contractors might as well been an extention of the hotel staff. They were friendly and went out of their way to ensure that they limited any inconvenience to guests. Shout out to the contractors for performing quality renovation work too! It was obvious they cared about their work and the impression it would make. I even asked them for a business card! Looking forward to our next stay and to see the competed renovations.

Cons:

The only thing we noticed was the chlorine odor in the enclosed pool area was very pungent. It was hard to be in there for any period of time. However, the pool was clean. The pool area would benefit from a ventilation system. Something like two large fans installed at opposite ends of the pool room. Louvered fan units like you would use for an attic would likely solve the issue.
