Greenway Woods Resort

Comfortable bed and internet.

Rooms (we booked a family room)are small but clean.
Hotel portion of the resort is not functional anymore.

Asked for two lightbulbs to be replaced, and in the three days we stayed there they could not manage to replace them.

They do have bigger (3 bedroom, 3 bathroom) units where we visited friends and are very nice to stay in.

We had a family wedding in White River and we all stayed at Greenway Woods. The place could do with a revamp, it’s not bad just a little tired. The staff were very friendly and did a great job. All the facilities are closed no sure what the reason for that is.

Very large park with 2-story lounges, 25m2 old-fashioned room, door that seals badly, dilapidated bathroom, dirty bathtub, black seal, rust color when you turn on the water tap. Mini kitchen !!!!! With hotplates, microwave, I didn't ask for so much!!!! Air conditioning from another age, judiciously placed above the bed. In conclusion: absolutely does not deserve these 3 stars. 1 star at the most. I will not fail to make the remark to my travel agency.

Amazing family-like establishment at affordable prices and we'll appointed room with beautiful views. Centrally located within 5minutes driving distance from town and a mere 20 minutes drive from the Kruger National Park. All families with kids welcomed at all ages.

Thank you Greenwood Woods Resort for a enjoyable, relaxing stay. The apartment was neat and clean and well equipped with a tv, wifi, ceiling fans and our own balcony braai area. Hosts were very responsive especially Dickson who was most helpful. The complex was neat, clean, peaceful and very safe with security guards manning the gates. Prime location to visit all tourist attractions close by. Highly recommended!

We were not happy with the clealiness, quality of service and even when we told the staff that the rooms were not clean, not back for water when there is loadshedding, no backup or even WIFI, NO TWIN PLUGS ON THE WALLS ETC.......

Clean accommodation, with all the little requirements to make the stay enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and accommodated our late arrival. Crystal was amazing and so helpful and ensured we were kept informed.

A very beautiful 6 sleeper we had....my second time in the very same unit...The host are very good people who had to direct us when we got lost...we arrived late at the accommodation...still they organized the keys for us ...they trusted us so much they only took full payment the next day...Crystal what a kind person.....the resort itself is beautiful ....going back in October and November.....RECOMMEND

The unit was very clean and had all the amenities necessary. The complex is safe and secure.
It is very peaceful and quiet. The complex provides ample parking space. The host was very helpful and friendly.

Friendly staff sabotaged by management, I asked for extra towels and they said the hotel was busy and they had none.

Great hotel near Kruger Park. Rooms are ok, they didnt have wifi, just on the Lobby. They offered a dinner with typical food that was great. It’s really near Kruger Park for visiting. It has a pool that needs more chairs for resting and cleaning the pool as many leaves fall into the pool

Where does one start?

It’s an okay place, no where near being a great place

While the pictures look really good, the place has aged quiet a bit and the interior is dated.

First pictures I saw are from 2015 or so, and yet nothing has been upgraded or nothing new has been done to the place

Same furniture from back then, actually same of pretty much everything.

The place needs a revamp, food can be described as edible at best.

Book this place if you want to use it as a stop over.

The place was so amazing,the rooms were clean. .not to talk about the nature outside..green and beautiful,swimming pool was lovely also...i would recommend people to visit Greenway woods resort

We stayed here for 3 nights during our tour of South Africa. Used it as our base to go to Blyde River Canyon (panorama drive) and Kruger park.

Reception staff was friendly upon checkin, when we got to our room it obviously lacked some maintenance though (understatement). When we inquired they said the hotel was fully booked but for night 2 and 3 we were upgraded to another room which was actually very nice. So take care, I think they are in the process of renovating the hotel and some rooms clearly have not been done yet :-). Ask when booking and paying a bit extra for a better room I do recommend.

For the rest, the pool is nice and cosy. Only 2 loungebeds though (+a dozen or so chairs). You can get snacks and drinks when you ask at the bar.

Breakfast is good, the dinner we had here was a buffet (they happen to have a buffet because 2 bustours were staying overnight) which was actually not bad at all. A-la-carte dinner menu is not to write home about. Anyway the other 2 nights we went out for dinner so for us not a problem.

All in all, nice place to stay. Nice grounds, friendly staff and for the rest providing all the basic amenities you expect.

If you are looking for a resort, for the family or very lively friends, this is the place to go. It was however, way too noisy for us. Which was a shame as the setting is beautiful. Visitors at the resort was extremely loud (basically shouting at each other), there was no consideration towards fellow patrons. Several had entertainment systems and was playing their chosen genre of music at high volume. All this amplified by children running around shouting at each other. We were woken up at 4-AM by sheer volume in which people were speaking (I should say, shouting). The staff was most friendly, the rooms quite spacious and the grounds really beautiful. Thankfully we only stayed overnight. Regretfully, we will likely not return; purely due to the extensive noise levels. Sorry guys. We would like to thank the staff for their friendliness.

After our visit to the Kruger National Park we wanted to stay in Mphumalanga for a few days to take in the sites, I booked 2 rooms and requested adjoining, ground floor rooms. We got 2 rooms which were some distance apart. The one 3 sleeper room was also a first floor unit. This accommodation offers self catering with braai facilities at each room. No grids or coal trays were supplied and initially we were told we could not braai at our rooms. After unpacking I realised the distance apart was going to complicate our stay. After discussions with reception they were able to give me an adjoining room, something they were not able to do when we checked in 1 hour earlier. Overall it was pleasant staying there, once issues had been resolved.

The food here is amazing. I took my family to have lunch on the 16th of December. From the moment we got off the car there was someone who attended to us and directed us where the buffet was set up.

Even if you don't want to sleep over but want to eat good food, you can call and book a table. Thank me later.

I have stayed here in the past and I am surprised at how much the place has changed, the staff are more friendly and more helpful, the manager Lazarus is excellent, and Valentine in the bar makes a great cuppacino also has a great sense of humor, the room was clean and shower was good.
