Good location, good breakfast, would have been great value.
Unfortunately the noise level meant mostly sleepless nights for the duration of our stay. Staff said it was a "great room" and could not help us. It was definitely a good room. But the noise levels both inside and outside (it's close to a night club that plays loud music until 2:30am) was unbearable, and without adequate sleep, and made our whole stay very difficult to enjoy. Very unfortunate but I guess there's not much they can do about the noise. But it does impact the guest.

Absolutely loved everything — the location was perfect, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was impeccably clean. Very good breakast.

Well located - a 10 minute walk to the National Art Gallery. It was in a safe area and our room was nice and quiet. Minutes away from the main Byward Market area, but just far enough away to not be on top of it. Good breakfast. The unit was basic but had everything you needed for a short stay. It was good value, just don't expect the Ritz. Staff were helpful.
My husband had no problem with the mattress but my back would have preferred a firmer mattress. The towel rack over the bathroom door was starting to rust. The room was clean but not spotless - there was the odd dust bunny. I prefer a bath to a shower, so the wall mounted soap/shampoo dispensers didn't work for me as they were too high. Perhaps the odd small bar of soap in the bathroom cabinet drawer would be a good option for people who prefer a bath.
