Good but not for an Ironman event if there's a wedding.
Pros:

Nice place, parking in front (subject to council parking rules), easy walk to the centre.
Sadly they host weddings that can run well into the night while they have customers in the hotel.

Cons:

They had a wedding on the top floor that went on with noise well until 1:30AM. Given the next day was Ironman event starting at 6AM and probably half of the customers in the hotel were participants in Ironman, having a wedding the day before and not clearly disclosing that during the booking was a major failure. We barely managed to get 4h of sleep as the music and noise were over the top.

We liked every thing. It was clean and comfortable. There was a restaurant, room service and breakfast. Well worth it

Cons:

Photo was deceiving showing a church right there when in fact it's across a main road., and how you would get the angle pictured i have no idea! Very deceiving. The room is tired, it really needs to be revamped. I would expect more from a Mercure Hotel, very disappointing.
