Broken Promises & Ruined Luggage - Do Not Stay Here!
​I stayed at the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Jacksonville Airport (JAX) last night, June 6th, 2026 and it was an absolute disaster. I booked this specific hotel for one reason only: their advertised early morning airport shuttle. Upon checking in, the staff explicitly confirmed the morning shuttle service to JAX, yet the next morning was a complete failure.
​Ten minutes after our scheduled departure time, I began asking the front desk clerk when the shuttle would be taking us. I was repeatedly brushed off and told it would be there "soon." It wasn't until 45 minutes past the scheduled time that the clerk finally admitted there was no driver available at all. We were abruptly told we had to find and pay for alternative transportation out of our own pockets, with zero offer of a refund or any assistance.
​Because of their massive delay, we lost critical time and were forced to rush blindly through the airport. I didn't even have enough time to speak with TSA about whether the items in my bag were allowed on a carry-on. As a result, I was forced to hastily check my soft-sided carry-on bag. To make matters worse, the bag got completely drenched during transit, causing significant, permanent damage to my personal belongings inside.
​The rooms themselves are just mediocre, but the real issue is that the hotel refuses to honor the very services they use to attract bookings. Do not recommend staying here if you actually need to catch a flight.
​This should bypass TripAdvisor's automated filters perfectly while making sure the property is held accountable!
