Service and staff was great along with restaurant. Worth a stay.
No smart TV.
Family room was superb, even with 2 teenagers.
Nothing comes to mind
Lovely interior
A bit noisy at night
The room was clean, it wasn’t dated, it was quiet in the building, warm, friendly staff, the meal we bought in the evening was tasty and huge portions. Downstairs restaurant bar area is nice
The room felt two small for two people. The shower was a “rainfall” style with also a smaller head, however when using the smaller head the rainfall head above you was constantly dripping on you which is really annoying when you don’t wanna get your hair wet! So bring a shower cap!
The breakfast was not good. Lukewarm, no potato scones, small portions, the vegetarian sausages were awful. And there was no muesli/branflakes, just kids cereals or cornflakes.
Put a sign on outside of your room cos housekeeper came in when we were still in room!
Good sized rooms. Clean and comfortable. Great breakfast.
Right on a busy road and noisy. Fight and shouting early hours with 2 youngish guys.
Nice comfortable room, tasty food in the Bar and lovely, friendly, helpful staff.
The bathroom was pretty clean, stuff friendly, decent breakfast
The noise from the pub, noise from the corridor, smashing doors, barking dogs, the dust in the room, uncomfortable bed. Very depressing deco in the room
Friendly staff, convenient location and a lovely breakfast
Lovely hotel room , great size comfortable and clean , faboulous shower , staff were so friendly and breakfast good
We found it all great ,
Location & service
Location & service
Good location for what we needed
Expensive. Really small beds. Small & noisy room.
Really good one night stay. Room was clean and comfy, bed was lovely, shower very powerful. Doesn't look much from the outside but it truly is lovely inside. The food here was amazing, good prices, nice atmosphere, large portions! Added bonus of cake!
The breakfast staff were a little un-attentive. We waited 10 minutes to be seated as there were no staff around and we didn't even get an apology when the lady finally turned up. Food was great though.
Check in was smooth with no problems, room was clean and tidy, bed very comfortable .
Well we stayed bed and breakfast as we have on previous stays, I’ve got to say the breakfast was dreadful. First morning we had the full Scottish, lorn sausage over cooked, the bacon we had to snap it (far to over cooked) beans good, tomatoes non grilled properly (cold) black pudding good, mushrooms and tatti scone good .what we didn’t get was toast ( never got asked) and haggis . Day 2 was the same every thing over cooked again but we did get haggis ? And we had to ask for toast. Not the best experience unlike our previous stays.
how can you phone someplace and they take the booking for 7:15pm we get there on time and they say your table was for 6pm we tried to call you. but who knows who they were calling but it wasn't us. food wasnt good. got the beef cheek which was full of fat. asked for a lager shandy and recieved a full pint of tennents. but since we came in it was a shambles
The woman waiting on tables at breakfast was an asset to the hotel.
The breakfast on both mornings was so poorly cooked it was inedible. Truly atrocious. Tea and coffee were served from pre-prepared flasks and were weak, tasteless, and unpalatable. On departure, I complained at reception and was greeted with a perfunctory 'sorry'. I complained in writing to the hotel and to booking.co. The hotel didn't respond to either me or Booking.com.
Kind staff who were very helpful.
