Excellent.
All the staff were lovely except just one at the breakfast hall
Convenient for us
Chosen due to proximity to daughter’s house
Been staying at hotel over the years quite a bit it could certainly do with a freshen up
Ran out of breakfast supplies
The room was clean, although the shower was not. The sink in the bathroom was permanently blocked because the plug would not lift to allow the water to escape. The breakfast area wasn't too bad and what you would expect in a place like this.
If you go with cheap, you half expect cheerful, however, there was no cheerfulness here, just cheap-ish. No extras; you have to ask for extras. The female receptionist with glasses, perhaps European, was abrupt to the point of being rude and offered no helpful suggestions when asked for recommendations. It was as if I were an inconvenience to her for merely asking about local restaurants. I had to ask about breakfast and restaurant opening times, as they weren't provided when she checked me in. I would've asked for extras because I didn't bring some things, thinking they'd be supplied by the hotel. I opted not to ask for the items I needed, as it was the lesser of two evils: it was more comfortable to go without than to ask the receptionist for anything. After a long journey, I didn't have the strength to speak with her again; it wasn't worth it.
The pillows were atrocious! Very lumpy and hard.
Room was very clean and staff were helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was a little disappointing, not much choice but as I don't eat much it was okay. Only scrambled eggs no other eggs..Only decaff coffee and not much in the way of fruit and juices. For £90 I think it was a bit overpriced but still had a nice time. Cleaner in the room was Polish so obviously room was immaculate!
Easy parking
Location
In need of a makeover.
It’s in a great location, and the receptionists are kind.
There was a cigarette smell in the hallway, and it was strongly noticeable in the room as well. There was no wardrobe in the room, and the sofa bed sloped.
Comfortable hotel and very quiet at night. Parking was easy. Breakfast very good.
The hotel was well located in the town centre
Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was closed the night we were there and it was difficult to find a nice restaurant in the town if you dont want Indian food
