The perfect stay - next time will be longer than the one night! I stayed with family and two dogs. The dog field is the perfect place to let your dogs roam safely secured in the fenced area. The staff - second to none!
My wife and I have just sent a great weekend at South Lawn Hotel. Everything was perfect which is very uncommon in a hotel: the room (spacious, modern, clean), the staff (efficient and courteous). The place is beautiful and the restaurant very good. Everything has been carefully thought through. We will definitely go back.
Quiet had everything we needed
A little out of the way from town car access only
3 night break at a wonderful New Forest Hotel, from arrival to departure the staff were polite, helpful and accommodating. Things to note was the location, the free EV charging units, dogs welcome and the cleanliness of the rooms and public areas. Dogs however are only as good as their owners and some were allowed to roam off lead and visited our room on several occasions uninvited to our surprise however we will certainly return to this lovely hotel
The Staff were great
The rooms have no Air Conditioning and it was sweltering
Refurbished smart rooms. Very good food.
Friendly staff.
Loved everything about our stay. Was comfortable and quiet and relaxing. Staff were amazing and so helpful
The bed was a little hard and woke up with sore backs but nothing too drastic
Our first summer visit to South Lawn after many in the Spring, Autumn and Winter and a heatwave thrown in for good measure! Early morning walks with Loki then back for an amazing breakfast consisting of
fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, cereals, toast, and a full English. All run like a well oiled machine by a team of delightful people. We are always so impressed with all aspects of South Lawn. Afternoon tea on the shady patio or maybe a beautiful cooling G “n” T - what a way to spend a three day break! All four of us wish to thank Nikki, Tim and the crew. See you soon Mel and Jane, Rae and Mary and of course Loki 🐾
Excellent location and beautiful hotel very thoughtfully and carefully managed. Room felt newly renovated with lots of little attentions to detail such as the provision of a fridge a fan and unlimited bottled water . excellent staff in all situations lovely lounge area and nice outdoor seating as well for the hot weather.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good food and excellent table service. Use of a free EV charger.
Room was clean and comfortable with loads of space. Lots of storage. Food was good but portions a tad small. Excellent location close to the village centre and beach
Nothing really, its a lovely place and I'm sure we'll be back
Great location, close to beaches and a short drive into Lymington. Lovely clean room, very spacious. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Good breakfast with lots of choice and cooked to order.
We ate in the restaurant both evenings…the food was delicious , not a great range but what we ordered was very giid.
Our only problem was i found a small hair in my food, reported straight away and was replaced, took a while obviously but my husband had finished eating by the time I got mine.
Was handled very efficiently and discreetly, I was offered a free drink which i declined but accepted a pudding (pavlova was not home made unfortunately) .
I think my meal should not have been charged for..but i couldn’t tell because the bill was not itemised.
Overall we had a great stay, huge room and really friendly staff and we will definitely visit again.
Lovely location and room. Dog paddock a real bonus
English breakfast wasn't great
Good location, friendly and polite staff.
"Garden Room" is an optimistic description for the room. Although it did indeed overlook a green space, it was more akin to a picnic area than anything resembling a garden and had a constant stream of dogwalkers passing the patio outside.
Room was spacious , the bathroom was good and the decor attractive.
The bedroom was extremely hot and it was difficult to sleep. The hotel was unwilling to provide a second fan which was clearly needed as both guests needed a fan at night.
The gentleman who helped with the electric parking was so helpful.
The room was large and very clean.
The complimentary toiletries were a nice touch.
The reception staff were friendly.
The waiter at breakfast was rude.
The pillows were too hard.
The mattress was also very hard.
Beautiful location and really nice room
No complaints
