The hotel is very clean and beautiful.
However, I did have a few negative experiences during this stay. As a frequent rodd hotel guest I knew that kids ate free and when I asked the waitress about it, she was very snappy and mean about it. She said I should have got a braclet when I checked in. She made me feel bad for even asking about it and like it was my fault they forgot to give it to me.
Also, when booking it was advertised that their was a hot tub and it was in fact the only reason I picked this hotel for our staycation, when in fact their was no hot tub.
During our supper our son ordered nachos, expecting chips & cheese so just imagine the look of disappointment when the waffle fries covered in cheese came out. (It was not in the menu that they were this kind of nachos!)
Also, the menus at the resturant were all very dirty and need a deep clean!
The front desk staff were very friendly and helped me out.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast food was delicious.
The hotel was exceptionally busy with a couple of parties and music but everything was very well controlled and secure.
Stayed at this property on a busy weekend. Was give a nice corner quiet room by Farah. This is an old hotel and it is well restored. Also a great breakfast. Would return for sure.
Très bon emplacement, très bel hôtel. Le lit de bebe était deja installé à notre arrivée, très apprécié ! Merci
clean comfortable rooms
extremely bad water pressure in the shower and shower water was just above luke warm
Super nice New Year's Eve! My husband and I booked a few nights here over the holidays and decided to spend New Years Eve here and also got my Mum a room too. Everything was perfect (Thanks Andrew!) we had dinners and breakfasts in Chambers Dining Room (fabulous food and all the people working here lovely. We had the NYE menu which has lots of choice, good portions and the dessert cart had something for everyone! Had 2 great swims in their wonderful pool and overall a top notch experience from start to finish.
Really good welcome experience from front desk when I arrive on Tuesday March 17th at 5pm! Smooth checkin and was very responsive and friendly.
Love the historic charm of the building, centrally located, welcoming and helpful staff, and excellent value!
Bathroom could have a hook/rail for hand towel.
The hotel was beautiful and clean. It’s in a great downtown location close to everything. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We definitely recommend The Rodd Charlottetown.
The rooms were very nice and the pool was wonderful
The location of the hotel for parking reasons and accessibility
Hotel itself was clean, friendly and great. The restaurant for breakfast took 1.5 hours and with 3 kids, it was not a good experience or worth the wait. No one apologized for the wait and didn't let us know there would even be a wait.
