I stayed at this hotel on a recent business trip to Dundalk in Ireland, the room I was given is on the 7th floor,neat and cosy,the check in was very smooth and straight to the point.The area where this hotel is located is really cool. I gave them 4 stars because their breakfast is at 8am, I prefer an early breakfast at 7am because it gives me enough time to move. Breakfast itself is lovely but kindly add more fruits which has not been cut into pieces,eg whole bananas and apples to munch on. Thanks

What I liked the most was that the hotel had perfect silence, a relaxing atmosphere, and a pleasant scent.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful family weekend at the Gateway Hotel in Dundalk, and it was exactly what we needed. Travelling as a couple with two toddlers and a grandparent can sometimes be a challenge, but the hotel made everything smooth, welcoming, and genuinely relaxing.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and brilliant with the kids. Check‑in was quick and easy, and they made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our rooms were spotless, spacious, and surprisingly quiet—ideal for little ones’ naps and early bedtimes.
The hotel’s family‑friendly atmosphere really stood out. Meal times were effortless thanks to a well‑thought‑out menu with options for everyone, including fussy toddlers. The team in the restaurant were incredibly accommodating, and the service felt personal without being intrusive.
Location-wise, the Gateway Hotel is perfect for exploring Dundalk and the surrounding area. We found plenty to do that suited all ages, and it was so nice to come back each evening to a cosy, welcoming base.
Overall, the Gateway Hotel made our multigenerational trip easy, enjoyable, and memorable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return for another family getaway. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Fairways Hotel while we were in between houses. It was a stressful time for our family, but Cristina was absolutely amazing , so gentle, reassuring, and always happy to help with any questions we had. She truly made a difference to our stay.
The hotel is warm, welcoming, and very family-friendly. I would highly recommend staying at Fairways or Gateway Hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Gateway Hotel and my experience was exceptional from start to finish. The hotel truly exceeded my expectations in several key areas.

Breakfast:
The breakfast was a highlight of my stay. The variety and quality of the offerings were fantastic, catering to a range of tastes and dietary preferences. The staff were attentive and ensured everything was fresh and well-presented, making for a great start to each day.

Room Comfort:
My room was impressively spacious, providing plenty of room to relax and unwind. The thoughtful layout and modern furnishings created a welcoming and comfortable environment. I particularly appreciated the in-room amenities, including a high-quality coffee machine that made mornings even more enjoyable.

The inclusion of an iron and ironing board in the room was a practical touch, allowing me to keep my attire crisp and professional throughout my stay.

I visited the Gateway Hotel with 3 friends for a girls weekend.
From the moment we arrived it exceeded all expectations. Jack at reception set the tone. Friendly, funny and happy to banter with us. He was very accommodating and would come and check on us whenever he spotted us around the hotel.

The bedrooms are lovely, large, clean, comfortable and quiet. Always nice to have a Nespresso machine and a great shower with very nice toiletries.

That evening we headed to the bar, Ciaran looked after us and made us fantastic cocktails. He was so professional and knowledgeable. He was again friendly and funny and has an obvious love of his job and showed great pride in The Gateway.
Ciaran also looked after us at dinner and again would seek us out and say hello when he spotted us.
What an asset he is to your hotel.

Dinner was perfect also. Lovely food, great service.

We were happy with every aspect of our stay, but what really stood out was the staff , we are all from hospitality backgrounds and it’s been a while since we could say that everyone we encountered was friendly, professional and appeared to love their jobs.

Special mention to Eoin and Kaitlyn who assisted me with the booking. Todd in the bar another gem ! Also the team member working with Ciaran on Friday evening and again Saturday lunchtime, so sorry I forgot his name .

Thank you again for helping make our little girls reunion, one to remember , we will definitely be back again.
