After a long day of traveling we got to the hotel an hour early we kindly asked if we could check in an hour early. After the gal talking and telling us we should have called direct and could have gotten a better rate because I am a member of the Elite whatever and oh that is one of the perks allowing us to check in early it is now only 35 minutes early. We unpacked the car and start walking down the hallway to find two gentlemen working in the ceiling right where our room is located. They graciously offered to move their things and we said no we can walk around if that is ok, to which the guy on the ladder said to the guy on the ground move those items so its easier for them to maneuver, we said thank you and he said we should only be maybe another hour. Once in the room we got our suitcases arranged and all the sudden we got a phone call from the front desk asking us to move rooms due to repairs being done in the hallway. We said they mentioned being done in an hour and the gal said well you can't be in there and have to move to a room with 2 queen beds, not the king we requested. So by the time we moved rooms and got to relax it was about 3:30. So no real early check in to relax and a room change without the king bed we had requested. Not a great start, glad it was only for one night! Learned my lesson and will stay across the way at a competitors hotel as we have in the past.
