Disappointing
Cons:

Staff was never there when needed, always waiting for someone to attend reception and having to call to get them, then this young lady comes with the worst attitude. She can not be working in hospitality industry!

Close to the city and markets.
Pros:

We didn't have breakfast.

Cons:

We were disappointed with the receptionist. When we required assistance with ordering a cab for an appointment, she refused saying that they are unable to help. After one hour trying to organise a cab for our appointment, my partner insisted on some assistance and she quickly organised one and apologising for the previous receptionist.

Pros:

We stayed here to be close to the Lakeside pavillion for a wedding. The location is great. The hotel is a little tired/run down, but it served us for what we needed. We stayed two nights and it was fine for sleeping. The room does feel a little old. But we had no issue with check in, and parking was $20 per night. Overall a good stay. It is cheap, so you get what you pay for in terms of the room.

Cons:

Feels a little tired, but it was good overall.

Disappointing, don't go.
Pros:

They've got a gym available for use

Cons:

Kitchenette was just a kettle, a mini fridge, 2 cups, 2 mugs, and 2 teaspoons. If you wanted water you needed to use the bathroom tap. The shower wall only goes halfway so no matter what you do the bathroom floor floods. The double bed in the room was just 2 singles pressed together with a double bed headboard screwed into the wall. Very old small TV with crunchy graphics, only one bedside table for a double bed, they also charge a $200 security deposit that you are not aware of before arriving. There was hair on the bathroom floor and blanket that didn't belong to me, they only provide very thin blankets, and while there was signage in the bathroom saying they would launder towels left on the floor it didn't happen. Additionally, the window and backdoor leading to the balcony did not have flywire. There were scuffs and paint marks all on the walls, carpet coming away from the floor in the hall, the bathroom door handle was missing a nail and the toilet paper holder was broken. All round a huge let down.

Pros:

Short distance to alfred hospital which i had a day procedure at

Cons:

Upon arrival our room window was open, my child had half their body hanging out at one stage, to the point my 2yr old could've fit and fell the 7 storeys high that we were staying. Flyscreen or another precaution should be in place for safety.
Toaster was very dirty inside, oil splatters in kitchen, ants also on bench when we arrived, bathroom exhaust barely worked so entire room was steamy, no doona cover on doona for bed.

A borderline health hazard give sandra a pay rise
Pros:

Sandra at reception was great, hotel smelt was barely furnished to that of a asylum seeker hotel standard from the uk… carpet was worn, kettle was a white cheap from supermarket, no coffee , kitchen was non existent or wouldn’t use. Spend $10 more and go to oaks next door. This place hasn’t been touched since I stayed in 2017 and is borderline a health hazard

Excellent value and when work complete it will be good to revisit
Pros:

Proximity to The Alfred Hospitals and restaurants plus IGA if needed. Bed and linen clean and comfortable

Cons:

Rooms could have been cleaner in detail. Had to keep blinds down due to proximity of next building

Cons:

The parking, there was no mention when the booking was made that car parking would be a car lift which having a larger car was very stressful to negotiate. Wouldn’t book the hotel again if parking was required 😡😡
