Cons:

We had massive stains on the carpet which we reported to reception shortly after our arrival. There were no suitable rooms to change to and the manager agreed to a discount. Notes were put on their system to reflect this. Sadly the hotel did not follow through with their promise of a discount. Such a shame as we have stayed at Leonardo hotels in a fair few cities and always been happy.

Great Stay ruined by breakfast situation.
Pros:

The hotel was nice, modern, clean and friendly. The room were nice and roomy and the staff were freindly.

Cons:

The breakfast situation was very dissapointing. We paid for breakfast but when we arrived down at the restaurant at 8.50am we had to queue for 30 mins to get a table. We then had to wait a further 15 mins in the food queue and when we got then there was no food left and they werent cooking anymore due to it being past 9.30am. Very dissapointing when we had gone down for breakfast with ample time. There were a lot of customers that we not happy that morning. I suspect it was because there had been a concert on at the arena so the hotel was busy.

Great location but noisy equipment wakes you early
Pros:

Location is perfect right at the docs meaning events at the nearby arena and conference centre are an easy walk.

Cons:

I stayed in room 632 which faced the Liverpool ferris wheel. In my 2 night stay I was woken at about 4:30/5am by a mechanical whining/whirring noise that seemed to come from outside as it was louder when I opened the window. First night I tolerated it as a one-off but second night same thing. On the roof below me the hotel has a series of ventilation fans. Upon checkout I mentioned the noise and the clerk said “were you above the fans? Sorry about that”. So it wasn’t the ferris wheel and seems to be a known issue.

Great hotel for a stop over to enjoy Liverpool
