Pros:

Convenient location; spacious, clean and well-stocked room. 100% served its purpose as I needed to stay as close as possible to the U.S. consulate. Tons of great food options in the neighborhood.
Gentlemen at the doors were very sweet with my toddler and greeted him every time:)

Cons:

Our room was facing the inner courtyard so whenever I opened the window for some fresh air, I was met with strong burning /exhaust smells from the restaurant downstairs.

My biggest concern: the extremely high incidental charges. On top of the already upmarket room rate, I was charged $400 incidentals deposit for 3 nights and $200 more for one night's extension. Neither holds were automatically reversed at check out. After waiting for 30 days without any change, I had to call the hotel to investigate and request a refund.

Some front desk staff weren't as friendly as one would expect, especially compared to other hotels in the area where we stayed the same month. Hard to pinpoint the exact issue but the communication felt off, almost as if we weren't matching their preferred clientele or something.
The Black gentleman who checked us in on Feb 17 was great tho and a positive exception. Apologies for not remembering the names.

Pros:

Fantastic stay at the Warwick le Crystal-we have finally found our go-to hotel in Montreal (after years of searching). Very comfortable, amazing staff and well located. My family really enjoyed the extra space in our 1 bedroom suite. We have already booked for October

Cons:

Stayed six nights and paid a significant amount, including a suite upgrade. When I extended my stay for two more nights, the hotel demanded a new CAD 300 security deposit, even though the previous deposit had supposedly been released but was still not available on my card.

I explained that I had already stayed nearly a week and asked for flexibility (cash or debit cards). All options were refused. Despite speaking with managers Morgane Leclert and Charlotte Bardeillon-Degryse, no compromise or solution was offered. The rigid enforcement of policy, combined with the staff’s refusal to accommodate a reasonable request, created extreme stress and emotional distress, leaving me feeling upset, anxious, and physically unwell. I was effectively forced to shorten my stay because I could not provide another credit card hold.

The hotel’s lack of empathy and support turned what should have been a pleasant stay into a very negative and distressing experience. The inflexible approach and poor customer care left a lasting negative impression.
