Aparthotel Münzgasse

Absolutely fantastic location, was running late and the hotel made fantastic effort to accommodate- my only complaint would be I only stayed 3 days I would of happily stayed longer

We spent a few days in Dresden because its' a lovely, unique city, and this apartment was right in the middle of it all. The entrance is in a courtyard just off the central town square by the Frauenkirche, so everything was at our doorstep but we were away from any noise. The apartment had everything we needed - living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom - and everything was clean and tidy. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. It's a short walk from the tram at Theaterplatz, so it's easy to get to the central station. Restaurants, cafes and shops are all around this area. It was a great stay and a really good place to stay.

Amazing location in Old Dresden, close to everything. Great breakfast, friendly staff, easy check-in. No negatives with this property or the staff. Great experience!

Everything is perfect

Location was perfect

The location excellent for exploring - was just in the middle of old town next to Frauenkirche. It was a blessing and our curse at the same time. We were "lucky" to come during the City Festival. Our windows were facing the church and the plaza. The noise was tremendous for 3 days in row (lasting till 1 am on the day of arrival, then till 11 pm and 9:30 pm the following two nights.) To be fair - when we closed the windows the noise was muted almost completely, but the problem was with the fact that apartments do not have AC ! (I didn't notice that when booking, otherwise I would never book it in first place, considering our trip in mid of August). It was hot without opening windows. So our sleep was ruined for all 3 nights :(. Otherwise comfortable apartment except for the shower cabin - it was very tiny, when showering was constantly hitting the valve of the shower causing the change of water temperature.

Clean and tidy apartment in a lovely location. Dated interior- but very clean and steps away from restaurants and the heart of old town.

The overall stay was wonderful.

Charming Hotel in the Heart of Dresden
Although the hotel was small and in an older building, it was very clean and well maintained. The atmosphere had a unique charm, and everything was comfortable and tidy. The best part was the location — right in the city center, directly across from the beautiful cathedral. It was the perfect base for exploring Dresden. I really enjoyed my stay and would happily return!

We had a clean room on the 5th floor with a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with a washer, and a kitchen with all the essentials. However, the Wifi connection was very slow to sometimes not usable. Knowing how to access the available facility parking area in advance would have been very helpful since there is no street parking at check-in location. The apartment cost is very reasonable and is located in easy walking distance to all the sites in the old city.

Enjoyed my stay in the room so much, it was in an excellent location. Amazing view from my room, the room was also super clean amd ith everything you need. Kitchenette, fridge,s ink, dishwasher, hair dryer. I loved it.

The location can't be better.

We had a great time in this hotel. The place was amazing, the apartments are very spacious and everything is clean. The kitchen is well equipped and the location is perfect. Finding the reception is a little bit tricky since it is inside the parking lot and not on the side of street.

I recommend avoiding aparthotel Münzgasse!
The room did not look like the one in the pictures. In the pictures, it had big windows and a lot of light, but ours looked like a crypt with tiny windows. No daylight at all!!! Since we arrived after 7 pm and the reception was closed, so we had to move in. The next day I went to talk to the hotel management. The reception lady, Theresia, looked like she didn't want to deal with this. She told me that they have over a hundred units and can’t put all the pictures on the website. They had one room that looked like the one in the pictures, but we needed to move out of the current room and move back into a new one in about 4 hours!!! It was freezing outside, we were tired and jetlagged, so we chose to stay in the current room. So we ended up spending a New Year time in a dark outdated place. Such a shame…

The location and size are terrific, but the individual rooms and things like WiFi or access and furniture will depend on the exact building. Our room had a wonderful view but weak Wifi. The bathrooms were very well-maintained, and the shower was very good in regards to temperature and pressure.

We also got very lucky with the fantastic view of the Frauenkirche right across the courtyard. Our family members didn't have a comparable view but had much stronger WiFi signal in their room (which was in another building)

The registration can be tricky if arriving and leaving early or late. It's not that big a deal.

Arrived at 10pm
No one hear to check us in. Called the emergency number and they referred us to a hotel. They had also moved us- but to a bigger unit in a different building. All turned out ok.

Had an amazing stay. Best part about the apartment is it’s location.

Apartment was great location! The space was more than enough for our family of 6 could have easily slept 8. Simple but adequate furnishings. Only down side was trying to find it. We tried to clarify check in location in advance and received. No response and then could not find building from address. Thankfully a lovely man who apparently works there saw us on corner with bags and kids and helped. The people in Dresden were overly kind! Internet was spotty not great if you plan to work.
