Very please with everything
We had a wonderful Time - hotel is very stylish and comfortable and the staff are fantastic - friendly and charming. The food in the restaurant was extremely good too for breakfast and dinner with local ingredients and all with the chefs little twist on things. I look forward to returning
We stayed for two full weeks. Overall, everything was okay. We booked a family room, but one of the showers didn’t have hot water. We reported it, and the staff responded promptly.
Unfortunately, the reception experience was poor and not welcoming at all. From the moment we arrived, there was little effort to make us feel at home or to provide basic information about the hotel. We had heard that the hotel offered many amenities and had unique features, but no one gave us a tour or even explained what was available.
What was truly surprising is that after two weeks of staying there, it was El Secreto—the restaurant of a completely different hotel next door—where someone finally took the time to explain the concept and design of our hotel. It was honestly unbelievable that an external staff member did more to inform us than the hotel’s own team.
We also had a disappointing experience with the restaurant hostess when ordering room service. She asked about food allergies, and when I mentioned I was allergic to mushrooms, she laughed with the waiter, saying the dish I ordered “obviously” didn’t contain mushrooms. It felt unprofessional and disrespectful.
Really, the hotel has a good reputation, but it is not worth it.

This hotel is beautiful. It has a rustic look with plants everywhere. One of our favorite breakfast was located on site Tarumba. Best location to all tourist sites.

Muy bonito el hotel y una muy buena ubicación. Un poco mejorar los tiempos de entrega de comida en el restaurante ya que esperamos más de 1 hora por nuestros platos.
A beautifully designed hotel retaining all its colonial features. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. My superior room was comfortable, but it was external / street side so there was traffic noise from very early in the morning. I live in London and I had jet lag so it didn’t bother me. If you are a light sleeper request an internal courtyard room. The location is excellent for exploring San Cristobal.
The staff is great, they were very accomodating to our needs. I have stayed here in the past and will continue to chose them. Great place!
