I love it here!
Pros:

It was located in a great spot, we were able to get to everything really fast, either by foot, bike or car! You can go in and out as many times you like when you valet! It has many great art pieces depicting strong women and women rights!

Cons:

They should tell you when booking that the rooftop is not open, it only opens at a certain time a year.

Hidden and random charges
Pros:

They have continuously charged my credit card after my stay - even a month after leaving I’m still getting random charges through.

I’ve been unable to speak to anyone about these and no one has been able to clarify what these charges are for.

Pros:

It’s not typical buffet-style breakfast, instead you order it from the menu. I like buffet breakfast and would prefer to having rich variety of food to choose from.

Cons:

The toilet paper is too hard and I suggest to have soft toilet paper. Valet service is more expensive than others nearby.

I'll stay here again
Pros:

This boutique hotel is a 12 minute walk to the hill, also the best value in this location. The staff were all VERY nice and helpful. The rooms are attractive, the beds are comfortable.

Pessima accoglienza dello staff alla reception. Poco disponibili e affatto gentili. A parte un ragazzo che c’era al nostro check out e ci ha tenuto i bagagli in deposito. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo comunque aspettato quasi mezz’ora prima di riuscire ad averli indietro a causa della inefficienza delle stesse persone alla reception trovate al check in.
Ho lasciato una felpa nell’armadio dell’hotel e lo stesso giorno del check out nonostante le molte telefonate effettuate con non poca difficoltà nella nuova struttura in cui alloggio per una convention, che mi avrebbero permesso di recuperarla in tempo durante il mio soggiorno e prima del mio ritorno in Italia, non rispondevano al telefono o, se rispondevano promettevano mail ed informazioni mai pervenute. Dopo più di cinque chiamate e messaggi anche tramite Booking (non hanno mai risposto) adesso finalmente rispondono dicendo che non hanno trovato nulla quando è impossibile perché la felpa era nell’armadio. Ad ogni modo è inammissibile un trattamento del genere in un hotel di questo livello.

Pros:

La posizione è ottima, le stanze belle e confortevoli, lo staff gentilissimo e professionale

Cons:

La connessione wifi ogni tanto salta, ma poca cosa e lo staff è stato di grande supporto
La colazione è inclusa nella prenotazione solo fino. 21 dollari. Una volta che ho fatto presente che questa informazione non mi era stata comunicata preventivamente, lo staff si è scusato e mi ha accordato un tetto più alto
Quindi due cose minori a cui lo staff ha rimediato con cortesia prontezza e professionalità

There are plenty of options in Washington DC. For these expenses, they could do better.

Great location close to the convention center and several good restaurants

Cons:

There is an amenity fee, which is not clearly listed on the booking site. This should be clearly stated as it is an additional $35 a day, which is a significant increase for a room that I spent over $400 a night on. They charge me for amenities that I did not use. And they promised free bottled/canned water in the room daily, but the maid promptly stopped providing it after the first day. I also didn’t like that the maid did not refill the soap in the shower, even when I left the soap bottle on the floor for her to find it. She simply put it back in the shower empty! These are a little details which could be better managed by a place that charges this type of pricing for a Washington DC hotel room.

The location and cleanliness are the high points.
Pros:

The location worked out well.

Cons:

The breakfast options were too expensive especially after all the charges were automatically added. The $21 that was allowed didn’t cover much. Having to pay 18% service fee was not appreciated. Paying the full resort fee when items like swimming pool not being open doesn’t seem right. One should have a lower rate when you close for the season. Was assigned a handicap room when we didn’t need one. This was probably the reason the bathroom setup was the way it was.
