Good stay at Village in Ashton
Pros:

The room was comfortable and the location was convenient. Room service was good. I wouldn't normally get room service, but the bar was very busy with football on TV, so I was glad it was available.
I liked the fact the hotel has a pool /gym. Starbucks in the hotel reception area was convenient for grabbing a take away coffee in the morning.

Cons:

It took a while to locate a parking space as it was very busy on arrival, and there was some work being done scaffolding etc. It didn't impact the stay inside the hotel.

Generally Fine....Awful OJ
Pros:

Been staying here regularly since January 2025. Both my (Tameside based) parents died in quick succession and I live in Scotland, hence several stays at Ashton Moss. Generally fine but two things:
1) Building work/Recladding is in progress and is taking an absolute age...even the staff comment on it.
2) Breakfast OJ is the worst I've ever tasted in a hotel...from trips to Argentina, Australia, Jordan, North America, Caribbean and Europe. Weak, watered-down awfulness by the taste of it.
