This is my new hotel when travelling to Manchester! We stayed for a concert at Ethiad Stadium - really easy to find off motorway, lots of car parking spaces, lots around for food options.
Hotel room was flawless - clean, spacious and quiet. Had a great night's sleep - very little noise from corridors.
Check-in was easy.
Simple journey via tram into Manchester too makes it a good option.
Lost 1 star because none of USB cables worked in the room and neither did the TV! Not an issue for us really but had we been staying longer, I would of had to charge the phone in the car.
Room looked nice and TV was nice and big.
The room on arrival seemed ok air con was on, looked clean untill I noticed at a closer look there was alot of dust there is no windows on a hot day this was fine as we were told the air con was on and cool enough, after nipping out for food etc we returned to hot room air con broken no fan no window 32 degrees outside and an alarm going off in our room this caused us not to get any sleep and the staff just couldn't be bothered we went home early and got some sleep we would have driven sooner if we hadn't had a couple of drinks! The hotel gave apologies and offered a full refund through booking.com which later got refused and I got back £8.00!!! I would avoid this hotel especially during warm weather we was up and down the stairs till 2am till we just gave up in hope we would sleep after finally getting a fan!
The cleanliness of the room and the beds.

Good breakfast spread.
Comfortable beds and rooms a good size.
Pool and spa facilities were also lovely.
Hot tub could’ve been hotter, if that even counts as a complaint!
Nice bathroom
Wow it's gone down hill fast.
What was a lovely hotel for couples to enjoy a night away has turned into a Yates wine lodge affair.
The entrance was filled with people who looked like they were straight bake from Benidorm, and to confirm the down turn in quality clientele the two doormen and full black uniform and yellow arm bands like it was a night club confirmed it.
We were dumped into the last room (so I'm told) after booking a month plus in advance. It wasn't the advertised room. It was a disability access room. Complete with NHS kitted out bathroom and emergency pull cords above the bed. Lucky I wasn't disabled as I wouldn't have been able to find it given the lights in the bedroom were also broken.
No offer of upgrade, recompense, voucher, or discount. If there had been, I wouldn't have felt compelled to write this review.
I had stayed at village frequently but I'm done now. I don't want to have to go through bouncers to get to my hotel and want the room advertised not an NHS maternity ward room.
staff in reception & restaurant very polite and accommodating

Priestnall School held their Y11 Prom at The Village in Ashton on the 18th June. The staff were amazing - the bar staff, catering staff, DJ and security all did a fantastic job of looking after our staff and students. I would highly recommend this venue for a Prom.
Booked the hotel so we could enjoy a drink at the Etihad stadium for a Take That concert. I feel the price paid was high but accept that's the way of the world especially when there was so much happening in Manchester that weekend. Everything about our stay though was absolutely 1st class. The car park had lots of availability and parking was easy. We made use of the bar/grill for lunch as we arrived earlier than the 3pm check in, which was excellent a very varied array of drinks, a slightly better than your average bar food menu and really excellent staff made for a perfect initial experience. Our room 226, which we think may have been an accessible room due to wide doors and a big shower room was clean, comfortable and well equipped leading to a very good night's sleep. Breakfast on the Sunday was served in the bar/grill where again the staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The biggest plus point for our stay was the hotels location, less than 5 minutes from the motorway, 5 minute walk to the tram stop, 20 minute tram ride from the Etihad makes it a perfect hotel for any visits to The Etihad campus and it's many events
