AC across the property and rooms was too cold and unbearable
A pool / terrace
Poor value for money. One of the most expensive hotels on my trip, allegedly highest rated but at best it was tired and truthfully grubby. The bathroom had mold, the manky shower curtain had holes in and didn’t contain the water into the shower area, making the bathroom a slip zone. Speaking of which, the rug in the room was curled up, and would. Not lie flat, making a trip hazard. The windows and windowsill were filthy, there was no safe in the room. Staff used corded phones to contact one another and you can expect to be woken at any time of night by the very loud ringing. Staff were indifferent, at best. Breakfast was a disappointment with selection and even room service menu was limited, due to ‘LPG shortages’, which has not affected anywhere else I stayed! The front facade and lobby look like the only areas updated in 50 years. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Great location, preservation of heritage
Rooms can be more refurbished.
It was a wonderful stay!
My family and i had a beautiful time.
Kudos and thanks to Asha and Murali for doing the room so well for my daughters birthday.
The stay experience was good, the hotel asthetic view was beautiful and well maintened. One suggesion 24 hr check in time if provided it will be more attractive.
Excellent.. service is good..Food service also good .. Totally very neat and clean maintenance..
The food was average.
Rooms are neat and clean, still it could have been better.Staffs are friendly.
Nice hotel to stay.
Very calm and polite staff
Once visit and enjoy
Excellent petit dej
Good sized room and bathroom. Hotel is close to shopping centres and transport. Staff were friendly and helpful and food was good.
Unable to adjust the cooling in the room.
Shower curtain needs to be longer or lower to the floor so that water does not splash and wet the rest of the bathroom.
The property reminds the hostory
Need to modernise outside look
Staff is everything in this hotel, they are always there to help you and assist in any case you might have. Food is tasty and in my opinion everyone will find something interesting, deserts are truly fabulous. Gym and pool are maintained on the ok level, my room was quiet and in calm part of hotel, hoverer room on not sunny side have an issue with humidity. On top hotel is next to the store where you can find all important things and just short walk from museum and another big market. I liked this place, is old and really need renovation and staff is working on it but decently as a European I see parts that needs to be work on.
Professionally run.
Beer prices expensive. Paid extra for traditional room which was nice but no view, looked straight onto a brick wall.
The staff is very friendly, and I must give a particularly positive review for the housekeeper on fifth floor, Armugam, who is very polite, friendly, and prompt, and did an excellent job keeping my room clean and our hallway clean. I appreciated his attention to making sure everything was good for me. Also, the location is very good, and because I went out a lot, I must commend the doormen for also being friendly and kind.
