We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it.
The rooms are very spacious, comfortable, and extremely clean. One thing we especially appreciated was the bathroom: the water pressure was excellent, and there was unlimited hot and cold water, which is not always common in every place in India.
The swimming pool is large, beautiful, and very well maintained. It was the perfect place to relax and cool down from the heat, which can be quite intense in Chennai.
The breakfast buffet was outstanding: very extensive, with a wide variety of options and everything we tried was delicious. There was something for every taste.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and attentive throughout our stay. They were always willing to help and made us feel very welcome.
The hotel also has a gym, which is a nice bonus for guests who want to exercise while traveling.
Another great advantage is that all rooms and common areas are air-conditioned, making it very comfortable to spend time inside when temperatures outside reach 40°C.

Centrally located and conveniently close to Marina Beach, the museum, and several key attractions, this beautiful heritage property exceeded our expectations. I was initially apprehensive about booking an older hotel, but I am truly glad I chose it.
We had a very pleasant stay. The pool was large and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere gave the hotel a regal, royal charm. The staff was courteous, attentive, and always willing to help. The food at Society Restaurant was excellent and one of the highlights of our stay.
We loved everything about the hotel, from its warm hospitality and impeccable service to its elegant ambience. In my opinion, the hotel does not showcase itself online as well as it deserves to. It is far better in reality than its online presence suggests.
