Wingate by Wyndham Horn Lake Southaven

I booked the king bedroom suite that comes with a kitchen. I've booked suites many times before with a kitchen. This is the first that I've booked a suite with a kitchen that doesn't come with anything you would need for a kitchen. There was no utensils no pots or pans, I mean NOTHING! There is nothing listed saying it won't come with anything. Also, the burner would not work. We went out and bought pots and pans and utensils just for the burner to not work. We were then told by a staff member that it takes a certain type of pot in order for the burner to come on and stay on. This is the same staff member who I complained to who never told me this to begin with. Upon inspecting our room further, we discovered filth. The mattress to the bedroom, and the mattress to the sofa bed was absolutely absurd! Blood stains, dirt stains, and what appeared to be urine stains. After taking pictures and videos, we went back to the front desk and showed the staff member and kindly asked for a refund, she refused. She would not call management and she also refused to give us a number to speak to someone higher up. She said that she could give us sheets and then someone would clean the mattresses in the morning. Excuse me?!! My family was not sleeping in filth. The tub was dirty a s badly stains. Spots of dirt all over the walls, dried up food spilled in the corner and a bug behind the fridge. This is the most terrible experience. My family includes myself, husband and children, and we ended up Back on the road driving home at 1am after trying to reason with them and waiting on our booking site to try to help. No refund, no apology, no anything. Just a horrible and traumatic experience!

The lady at the front desk had an attitude the whole time. Could not upgrade my room. Toilet barely flushed. Breakfast was horrible. Pillows was horrible

I could smell a mild odor, may have been the carpet. The air conditioner in the room i stayed in was loud, and I could not sleep because of the constant door slamming throughout the night. I don't know if it was the placement of my room (at the end of the all) or what, but every time I dozed off there was noise to wake me up. That is not a direct reflection of the business, but it was definitely unfortunate.

The bathroom was disgusting. The room was disgusting. The smell was horrible. The hallways were disgusting. The front desk lady was sleeping and had an attitude when I was checking in. She didn’t wanna assist me. Neither did the manager of the building. The TV didn’t work. I would not ever book this hotel again, and I would advise you not to.

The bed was just too uncomfortable for me I have a bad back and the bed didn’t feel good!

The room has an old smell, it’s old and the bathroom had mold on the wall. The building is old need a lot of updating
