Clean and very comfortable bed. Fitness room is very nice and well equipped. And you can start directly from the hotel the river walk. Amazing.
I did not get each day the cleaning pads in the bathroom.
The is conveniently located near everything in San Antonio. Parking is ample (self and valet), EV charging is available in the covered garage, and the knowledgeable staff is prepared to respond to every traveler's needs. The hotel also has a separate elevator bank for floors 20-25, making wait time for room and lobby access a non-issue. Restaurant and bar options abound, yet the rooms are very quiet at night. We will return!
The hotel is in the perfect location close to everything on the Riverwalk, but not in the middle of the noise. Great atmosphere and friendly staff, I plan to go back for personal vacation.
Room and hotel really clean. Beds comfortable. The view from the room was one of a kind! Hotel location really convenient for pedestrian and motorized outings. The hotel lobby smelled divine and elegant festive decorations added to the overall appeal. As such guests lounged in the lobby at all times, further enhancing the social experience. Staff was uniformly accommodating to provide you with the best stay.
Breakfast was buffet style, with plenty tables available every morning. Yet one needed to wait for up to 15 minutes to "be seated" - it was unpleasant especially for the youngest and the eldest patrons and there was always a line. Unnecessary.
I enjoyed the comfort of the bed/pillows and view from the window. We enjoyed the view from the window as we were facing the sports arena and the Tower of the Americas.
Our toilet was plugged when we arrived to our room. The shower was also very 'weak' with pressure. It would also be nice for some sort of reasonable or 'free' breakfast options for people who aren't looking to spend $35 per person on a buffet, especially when we pay as much as we did for 1 night stay.
The rooms were awesome
Didn't like our 3:15 fire alarm to walk down 10 flights of stairs to find out it was a false alarm!!!!!
The location was great, easy access to Riverwalk and the alamo. The rooms are spacious and clean. I did not experience any noise issues.
I got a suite upgrade and now I can die happy! I can't remember having so much great service from so many different hotel staff. All the options to eat and drink at the hotel was so good I only left once to go out and eat. The hotel itself is fairly new, so it looks great. It is a little off the beaten path for vacationing but for conventions you can't get any closer. This was only my second time staying at a Hyatt hotel, but they treated me like I was a long-time loyal customer. Too bad I was only staying for one night.
Room or carpet smelled like dog
Excellent location right on the River Walk. Hotel was very clean & quiet. Every staff person I encountered was very friendly and quick to help. Fitness center was state-of-the-art. Pool area was small but quiet, clean, and bright. I'll definitely be staying here again upon my next trip to San Antonio.
This hotel is getting "aged." Due for a serious makeover. WiFi was glitchy and spotty at best. Difficult to hold business video conferences. The room power ports were old style USB ports. HVAC thermometer had a motion sensor, so room did not stay at desired temperature without occupancy.
Shower was in need of tile grout work.
Towels were fluffy.
Housekeeping is offered daily!
If you stay here, please ask for a room that is not on the street side and ask for a room that is on a higher floor. The road noise at this hotel is very loud and will keep you awake at night.
Remember that the food/beverage pricing here is outrageous. I would recommend checking the cleanliness of your room before settling in. Had I done that, I would have asked for a different room. In addition, if the valet is rude and disrespectful, ask for the manager. I certainly wish we had. It took 30 minutes once we got to the valet station to finally get our car.
I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. It is located near major attractions. The lounge is excellent. Customer service is outstanding. Nicole does a great job during check in and throughout your stay.
This is a very typical Hyatt experience. The best thing about the hotel is the location. It is right on the riverwalk and very close to almost everything that I wanted to do.
Food service, and service in general was lacking.
This is not a good hotel for families. No in-room microwave or included breakfast would add up to a lot of extra $ for a family.
However, the breakfast and lunch buffets were priced around $20 each and they were outstanding.
Great hotel and great stay for when staying in at the Riverwalk. I've stayed here many times and anticipate staying many more times in the future.
It was just ok. Very convenient. Staff was friendly when I checked in. They rude and sometimes ignored me during my stay. Front desk was not knowledgeable on amenities.
We stayed during the Texas Music Educators convention. This is a wonderful hotel attached to the convention center. We chose it due to this proximity. The hotel was nice and the staff was wonderful. Although the price was premium during the convention the ease in getting places made it worth it.
Jose met us at the entrance. He was absoluly awsome! Helped us with information, parking our car and giving us local information!
