The ocean view was good!

Cons:

The hot breakfast was cold and when staff were alerted to this the didn't remove the food, just microwaved people's plates. The bread and cheese were also stale.

Not a place to stay
Pros:

Rooms are awful, in desperate need of renovation and a good clean. When booking adjoining rooms they consider the booking as an apartment so do not provide any servicing at all. The 'apartment' is in fact two rooms that are not adjoining as they have two seperate doorways, with one containing a dining area and laundry facilities with a queen bed and the other containing no facilities but a king sized bed. Not a single part of the configuration makes sense. For a family with children it is neither safe, nor convenient. They do not disclose this information freely when booking or on arrival so it was only later in the stay when we requested replacement towels that it was hinted at the fact additional charges may apply for services like change of bed linens etc. So stock is not replenished automatically, towels not replaced etc unless specifically asked for on a daily basis. Given our stay was for 5 days, it is absolutely unacceptable to think a single towel each in a hot, humid environment is okay! The entire building looks to be over 30+ years old with peeling paint, awful musty smell and general claustrophobic feeling throughout. Disgusting lack of services and appeal given the price of the rooms. Location is reasonable but not as convenient as it was made to seem. Overall the experience was terrible and would not recommend this as a place to stay at all.

Avoid! Smells horrible and fire alarm goes off randomly
Pros:

The corridor on level 12 has had an acrid, eye watering burning cigar smell all week, which is occasionally joined by a boiled cabbage smell. Absolutely disgusting.

After being told by colleagues that the fire alarm goes off all the time for no reason, it finally happened this evening while I was asleep.

I can see that others on TripAdvisor have had the same experience.

This place is unsafe and needs to be shut down. I’m going to report them to the council and write to Accor head office. Travellers deserve better than this hot mess.

Beautiful Residential Apartments
Pros:

We stayed in a residential apartment of this building on the 27th floor and the view was amazing. The apartment was wonderful with all the amenities and we rented through Airbnb. There is a lovely pool which was great to enjoy after a day of sightseeing.

Cons:

That there is no daily room cleaning/makeup service. You take $200 for incidentals but there is no mini bar or anything so why take the $200??? The room door bangs shut loudly. The room was really dark even with all the lights on.
