Do not stay at this hotel, it is dirty and smells like urine. There is no air conditioning on the floors to your rooms. The rooms are awful and the air conditioning does not work. They only give you 1 key card which operates the air con and lights, so if your out all day you come back to a very hot room. The staff are rude, we saw 3 different which were all the same standard, very dirty and run down. We eventually checked out moved hotels. The aor con leaked and they refused to change the room. Please avoid booking at all costs.
Where to start! Checked in with our 25 year old daughter. She found sex toy and condoms in her room. Clearly had y been cleaned or checked before we checked in. She then had left nearly 200 baht in her handbag that was a gift (stupid yes) but was hidden in a pocket. Decides not to make a complain (bad choice) on checking out the manager was charging her 350 baht for a dirty towel. The towels in this hotel are awful, nearer grey than white and threadbare. We asked at reception for the towel back to go and get it cleaned ourselves but it was still at the laundrette apparently. The smirk on the manager and staffs faces when we told them we couldn’t wait as had a flight to catch was appalling. There are much nicer hotels than this in Bangkok but I’ve heard quite a few reports of them charging for a tiny bit of makeup on a towel. Ladies & gents be careful I would absolutely not recommend this hotel.
So close to the hustle of bustle of one of the busiest places in the world, yet peaceful enough where you can chill right outside of it. It was a nice little escape after a day of shopping and insane walking. Average breakfast buffet, but theres so much of good things around the hotel including a Korean hotel next door so you are pretty spoilt for choice. And the rooms are pretty good as well.
The hotel is not well maintained or equipped, staff are not very helpful, at check in demanded deposit payment in cash no card option, the only thing good about the room was a comfortable bed, restaurant was a complete disaster, worst food I’ve ever had in Thailand. Never again at this hotel.
It is a nice hotel just a bit old
Check in was lengthy. Room floors were damaged.
Grand hotel right in the middle of it all - This is a friendly hotel !
very convenient place
What an amazing stay at this hotel with Gerard and his amazing staff From check in to my stay , was absolutely remarkable . The value for money is second to none , and the location is perfect . Highly I recommend to stay here .
Worst hotel we have ever seen, staff very rude, no amenities funny thing 2 tea bag per day, dirty walls, pl avoid this hotel
The location is good.
Property is a bit old but maintenance okay.
Nice food.
Fairly good breakfast.
Next to good Korean Restaurant.
Avoid this hotel at all costs. The service is appalling. Housekeeping is slow and careless—pillows and towels took ages to arrive, and the room was never properly cleaned. Breakfast was a disaster for vegetarians with barely any options, and the staff couldn’t care less—rude, arrogant, and completely unhelpful.
The front desk was shockingly unprofessional. We requested a room on payment due to a medical condition before a delayed flight. They refused, claiming no availability—even though rooms were clearly listed online. When confronted, they simply said, “do whatever you want.” No manager. No apology. No accountability.
This hotel is the complete opposite of Thai hospitality. There are far better options in Bangkok—don’t waste your time or money here.
Previously stayed at S15 Sukhumvit Hotel as I liked the location but has increased prices to an extent of no longer value.
As a result I started looking elsewhere & found The Manhattan Hotel only 30m away & 30m off Sukhumvit Rd.
This means the hotel is quiet at night as Soi 15 doesn’t have the nightlife of say Soi 11.
The hotel itself is good quality & reasonable value.
Hotels this close to BTS & MRT are usually more expensive. Asoke BTS & MRT are maybe 150m away.
Terminal 21 Shopping Centre is roughly 150m away as well.
Terminal 21 has the best & cheapest food court in Bangkok.
The area has so much street food available as well with a market maybe 100m away across Sukhumvit Rd.
If you want Nightlife, Soi Cowboy is. Maybe 300m away & Nana Plaza maybe 600m in the other direction.
Plenty of other nightlife hubs nearby as well such as Soi 11 etc.
The hotel rooms itself are large.
If there is one complaint some aspects need updating. For instance the floor in my room needs replacing as the planks are lifting.
Staff at this hotel are obliging & nothing is a problem.
The breakfast quality is buffet style & of good quality.
On a whole it’s the location that’s the big selling point.
I will definitely stay again & in fact is probably the first hotel I will look at in future.
Just off sukhumvit Rd, on soil 15, which is right in the middle of sukhumvit. Very good price and includes breakfast, which was not bad. Not much service but staff very helpful if asked. Good sized rooms. And they have a bar guy who made me what he called a Tom yum mojito, which was a great local take on the mojito
I enjoyed my stay at the Manhattan Hotel Bangkok
People working here they’re friendly
The rooms on the ninth floor suffer from a lack of hot water as the aging boiler obviously struggles to get the hot water up there. After cold showers I complained and was given a room on a lower floor. That room had water leaking out of the shower screen and flooding the bathroom floor which made it dangerously slippery. Maintenance work going on meant it was not possible to use the stairs on the lower floors, which represented a fire hazard. Then to add insult to injury when my partner joined me on my last night they attempted to charge me extra money when I had booked a double room and already been staying there 3 nights. The staff on reception have nothing but disdain for guests. It's not a very happy place and there are far more friendly places, better value for money, in Bangkok
Room was large which was good. Floor condition was terrible. Hot water kept fluctuating which made taking a shower a challenge. They charged for ice which was a first of all the hotels I’ve stayed at.
Although it is a value for money spot for travelers but trust me, spend abit more to top up and get better hotel.
I booked before seeing it's review, indeed the floor tiles are uneven, broken, shower doesn't have strong waters, aircon wasn't that cold until you request the room to be fully air conditioned the whole day.
In short, bad experience.
This is my 3rd stay in the hotel. Place is super convenient and I always find the staff to be friendly and helpful. But unfortunately this will be my last stay. I was given oom 918 and for the 5 night i was there my room was full of cockroachs especially when i am out and back to the room and turn on the light. I killed a bunch of these tiny roaches and even took it down to the front desk manager but unfortunately nothing was done as the next night the same thing happen .... no offer of a room replacement. i had no choice but to buy own cockroach spray and i stay with the room light the whole night.
