Great retreat away from Vegas
Perfect for a quiet staycation.
A little much. I was with a buddy. This place was kinda too nice. I would get a nice place like this for a wife or girlfriend but not for a buddy. I hope this is a compliment to most folks. The place is nice.
i love it
When we arrived there were dirty clothes left in our room from previous guests. I reported this straight away to reception, who apologised and said housekeeping would pick up the next morning and that she would speak to the manager to offer us a discount.
The next morning housekeeping picked up the clothes, but there was no word from anyone at reception. Upon checkout I asked about this and the receptionist could see that a note was indeed added on our account, however noone had actioned anything. She said the manager was not available, but she would ask them to give us a call to address this.
A month later, we haven't heard anything, and this is deeply disappointing.
The location is ok, but as others have said the hotel is very run down, definitely not a resort and definitely not worth the premium price. Staff are trying, but it seems that management doesn't care at all.
We had a wonderful time. The room was great and pet friendly. We ate lunch at the restaurant and the food was excellent.
Clean room staff nice
Perfect getaway from Vegas. The beds were really comfy and the lobby is kind of like a museum mixed w lodge. Booked the room w a balcony and my family loved it!
The place is quite amazing. It’s a peaceful and comfortable place to stay, perfect for families. I hope they can organize some family activities in the area. However, the air conditioning inside the room is not very effective.
Great price for a weekday @$90.00+tax. A quaint & rustic feel. Rooms were good sized. Quiet. Has a restaurant & a separate bar & a snack shop open 24 hours. Easy parking. Stayed over for a next day hike in the Spring Mountains. Excellent proximity to a myriad of hiking trails
The room had lots of stains everywhere, scuffs, old shower, and the bathroom sink slowly drained. It’s an old hotel, and considering its history, it’s still a decent stay. It’s just in dire need of a revamp. Even as simple as replacing lamps and remodeling bathrooms would do the place wonders.
Staff was really nice. I loved the pet friendly atmosphere. The balconies of the room had great views, fresh air, and a comfortable place to decompress. The food at the restaurant was great. Outside was cool.
It’s just a really old hotel that hasn’t had an upgrade for probably 20 years in certain aspects, and in other aspects, probably closer to 50 years.
This is a wonderful place to take a break from Las Vegas city life. The restaurant is great, friendly staff and the room was nice.
Needs renovation, hard with no elevator
Dont listen to the negative reviews if you dont mind the little imperfections , this was an amazing spot to get away from the Vegas heat, city temp right now is in the low 100s but man does it feel good to be up there in the mountains at a nice cool breezy low 70s down to 60 at night . Get the balcony room if you can its well worth the views
the staff was superb
This hotel is perfectly located in the Spring Mountains and you really only have two options. I will say the pictures on Expedia aren’t current (for many areas of the property) there is no longer a pond out front for the example. The lobby is nice they have a 24hr cafe and a restaurant with food I found to be good. After you leave the lobby though there only a frumpy staircase and feelings of a motel in the hallways. The room was comfortable and I loved the Apple TV. I will stay again!
I liked the bar option w food and pool table. You advertise a spa, which there is none or pool or hot tub or fireplace options to maximize property! Lots to improve and maximize…. Definitely would come back, though….
Rustic property for a good getaway for the night. Excellent and very polite guest services. Will be going back.
Beautiful setting
There were a lot of things which were disappointing about it.
1. Ate in the restaurant for breakfast. The omelet was "dry" and the potatoes were "dry." It's like I was eating old food that was lukewarm. And it took longer than it should have even if they made it from scratch.
2. Door key cards took multiple attempts to work and then stopped working entirely. Staff seemed confused by this.
3. Snack store was never staffed, always had to wait around for someone to go find the worker, who then would ask me to wait while they messed around with the cash register for several minutes.
4. There was no info at the front desk about the surrounding area.
5. Poor sound insulation. I was in room 103 and I basically had to stay up until all activity stopped in the lobby.
6. Cranky, tantrumprone baby and its loudmouth yelling mother constantly running back in forth in the hallway on Saturday night, and poor sound insulation doesn't help.
7. Person roped off the exit to the parking lot while three cars were already trying to exit in that direction. Why? Why not wait until we left the parking lot? What purpose did that serve?
8. No room service, shampoo and body wash were in tiny bottles which weren't enough for the two days I was there (and I have short hair and not much of it)>
9. Loud air conditioning shuts on automatically constantly.
10. TV didn't work.
Rest assured I won't be back.
