Good location, good facilities, food ok, service good
Nothing bad really, good hotel, if you get a fair price
The staff were lovely and the bedroom was great .... apart from the firm mattress mentioned above.
The beds were far too hard/firm and didn't provide a good night's sleep.
Clean & Quiet
Lovely location very clean hotel reception staff very nice
Breakfast staff got breakfast order wrong and then didn’t bring the full order had to ask for it and also ask for butter there was no water no orange juice in jugs it wasn’t very busy in the dining room for breakfast disappointed with the service
Got to love these old style hotels , loads of character in the building , room had everything you would need
Nothing comes to mind
The warm friendly inviting atmosphere.
Ideal for exploring Dublin with a car, quiet and tranquil. Excellent value for money
Nothing
The bar & bar food in general was amazing! The room was very clean & comfy! The spa service was great!! Reception was very accommodating. Big shout out to Browmyn who works bar/restaurant...what a lovely lovely person!!
The wine service in restaurant was non existent. Not opened in front of us & plopped on table with 2 glasses but no pouring. Not ok when paying 30+€ a btl. Breakfast was ok but not 4☆ standard. Rock hard pudding. Undercooked bacon. No beans. Slightly burnt toast. Cold option was better than hot. The pool....too many children (guess cant be helped)...gruff receptionist. No bathrobes for a spa hotel either????
Location
Dinner from bar was terrible. Beds were too soft and uncomfortable. Decor is a mix of old style with some modern thrown in. Room had some defective items such as toilet roll holder. Room has seen better days!
I believe now this the a-typical hotel type all around the Emerald Isle. I’ve visited a few now. Looks legit, is ok but dated. The smell of soap does not make the years of use go away, there was visible dilapitation - lack of renovation. The floors feel like youre walking on uneven moss. Food was good, so was the service. There was golfers around, looked like a legit course.
