If you would like good sleep -stay away from this hotel!
Pros:

The hotel indeed has a beautiful design and great history. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good, however my very low score mostly about the bed.

Cons:

The 5 star hotel does NOT provide the duvet cover for the blanket on the bed!!! and instead of the quality matrass protector they put some dirty antique foam rubber!!! This is disgusting and not hygienic! It was very difficult to sleep on this bed. The bedding from IKEA what is always very bad quality. Unfortunately, this can tell you a lot about general cleanliness of the hotel.
The clothes hangers were ancient as well and fell apart as soon as you put more then one shirt on it. Provide more then 6 per room then!
Another problem which is not really hotel fault is outside noise! This is hideous! Cars are constantly honking, motorbikes are racing and all of them have laud music up till 1-2am! What IS hotel fault that they can have more attention to guest request - when I booked I did specifically ask for the quiet room, but they gave us room directly facing the main road.
In the end of the day I don't really care how beautiful the hotel lobby is , but what I need for the good stay is comfy bed and peace, unfortunately this hotel does not provide it.

This hotel is perfect - comfort, amenities, wonderful staff & location is perfect!
Pros:

Beautiful, classical hotel with everything you could want - spacious room, big comfy bed, robe & slippers, so peaceful, especially being close to the action, delicious breakfast, tempting bar, the staff are so attentive and lovely.

This is the only 5 star hotel that charges you extra for fried eggs on a breakfast included rate. Not acceptable

Mit Navihilfe unkomplizierte Anfahrt, ruhig in einer Seitenstraße, 150 m Spaziergang zur Fußgängerzone. Elegante Salons, stuckverzierte Decken, herrlich holzvertäfelte Wände, schwere Vorhänge, Fullservice mit persönlicher Atmosphäre der sich unauffällig einfügt, aber auch ein wenig vergangene Welt. Genau richtig. Unkomplizierte An- und Abreise, Valid Parking perfekt, Zimmer Top im beschriebenen Stil, makellos und perfekt ausgestattet. "Bis bald", rief der sympathische Rezeptionist freundlich. "Ja, sehr gern" meine Antwort.
