Outdated. Not clean. Elevator was frightening (terrible noise and violent clunk when it stopped on first floor ). Breakfast was mediocre. Sofa bed was unusable (thin, worn mattress and broken springs)
Hotel is in very bad condition
Location
Elevator, keys don’t work and smell
Location
Is a little high
Excuse the length. My grandchildren and I stayed at Baymont Inn. Check-in was easy and male staff was pleasant with stay information about town. The atmosphere was low-key; traffic was low around time of check-in at 6pm. We were on the 3rd floor, and the elevator ride up was scary at best as it bumped, grinded and made horrible squealing noises taking off and landing. It shook so hard, I thought the cable was going to disconnect, and my granddaughter refused to use it again. We ended up climbing up and down the stairs. The value was okay for what we reserved for two days. All I can add is the beds were okay and soft, clean sheets. The rest of the room had not been cleaned, as there were prints on the microwave, and other surface areas, the bathroom counter was dirty and tray under ice bucket (didn't touch) was dusty with a hair on it. The furniture looked like it belonged in someone's old house, stained and discolored. The bathroom floor looked as it was not clean and the shower curtain was stained and old. The bathroom toilet seat top was splashed/splattered with a red substance, and I initially thought it was blood, but on closer inspection (lol) it appeared to be a hard substance of sort, maybe candy or soda. The vents didn't work in bathroom so after showers every surface was wet. The children used the pool although the water was cold. Someone had thrown a chair in the pool and when I fished it out with the pool pole, pool not totally clean, it was peeling with fiberglass and got into my hands. It was a hazard. I told the older female staff about it and she said, "I'll let them know", whoever that is. I repeated that it was a hazard and it was peeling and my hands felt they had been pricked with a thousand fine cactus needles and probably now in pool. I fixed myself up by googling how to remove fiberglass fibers. That pole had a hook and a brush on the other end, which had seen better days. The other pool tool was shot as well, and both need replacing. Staff won't bother you and were stationed there but nothing else. The first night a young man was hollering/yelling to "k" someone and was banging on doors, I was ready for any disturbance, but my sleep was also disturbed. All doors leading outside were propped open. The outdoor beautiful furniture was not there, see photos. Instructions to grandchildren: don't touch anything, keep your socks on and just sit on the bed. Luckily full days at the wonderful state park nearby kept us busy and then dinner out. We basically just showered and slept in the room. Photos are for reference, because I was a bit shocked. They may have had better rooms, but we loved our vacation despite this.
Concerns listed above. Main concerns: elevator needs to be checked, and pool tools replaced asap.
The receptionist was friendly!
The whole building was filthy! Hallways were dirty, elevators are on the verge of a breakdown, one side of the building clearly allows their dogs to urinate in the room, you can smell it! The “clean” sheets and towels smell of body odor. The pool and hot tub were not for use at night, It says they close the pool at 10 p.m. but there were no lights outside or in the pool. That’s not including the bottom peeling and the hot tub not being hot. We booked a room with a sofa bed and the sofa bed was not working. It
Location
Grounds were not kept up, trash cans in common area overflowing and not emptied, hot tub not operational
Nothing at all
It smelt like urine as you walk in. Pool was ice cold with jacuzzi broken and was terrified to get electrocuted so didn’t even bother. The elevator shook and slammed as it stopped to top it off the entrances seemed to be the hangout spot for men to hang out and smoke weed and employees said nothing about it and the hallways smelt like it to. It was a nightmare for me and my children who are not exposed to things like that . So please do not take your children here!!!!
Staff were amazing. Room was spacious and comfortable. Location was perfect.
We needed a few more cereal options and bagels would be nice.
Beautiful hotel comfortable bed great front desk service fast check-in and the manager Michelle was very helpful!
The breakfast was very good.
There was always fresh coffee for me.
All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
We really wanted ti sit in back where the view was great, but thats where the pool was and it was closed for the season, so we could not use that area.
