Bad experience
Booked two months in advance and paid in full. Went to check in and they said my room wasn’t available. They had issue with rooms was told they had room at sister property down the road. That property is charging me now for staying there. I need a refund please.
The 2nd shift staff was sweet and great made you feel welcome and the serving of coffee 24hr was a plus.
The room was not worth the price
On march seventh I signed in for my room at the hampton inn and south kingston.Rhode island. I prepaid a month in advance for my room.It was non refundable. They asked for my credit card which I gave to them. I told them not to charge me again because my room was paid for they agreed. When I went to sign out the next morning and give them my keys.The woman at the front desk didn't seem to know what she was doing.And it was taking too long, and she said, just go and I'll have it figured out. When I got home, I realized I was charged again for the same room. I got a hold of them, and I spoke to the manager, who said, i wasn't charged twice. I tried to tell her that I paid a month earlier in full.And then you charge me again today. After a while she figured it out, but she never called me back.I had to call her to let her know what my confirmation number was from my first charge. She finally admitted I was right and I would get my money back. Now I know it takes a little time to refund money at the most.It should take three days.That's what my bank told me. I'm on the third day, haven't seen the money. They don't try to contact me to even apologize or try to make it right.I have to be the one that keeps contacting them. So watch your credit card for your charges.When you stay at this particular place, I will never stay there again. Horrible customer service.
Clean and convenient! Breakfast was very good. Rooms were clean.

Location
It was dirty with trash piled up in the hallways, by the elevators etc… the room door didn’t fit property and therefore did not close correctly. The guests in the next room were on a drug bender all night and hotel management never once came to address the loudness.

In a great location with so much near by
Mold in the room(the wall and ceiling in a corner and the ring around the bath tub, falsely advertised hot tub as there is NONE, very dirty pool with dirt wads of hair and false nails, I left the do not disturb sign on my door and when I arrived from an outing for the day housekeeper had gone in and taken out towels and restocked. Any concern brought to the staff members and they just said they would notify someone. Breakfast was ok, hot foods(eggs, potatoes, and sausage) were not really edible.
Hotel staff great. Beds were comfortable. The room itself was very comfortable.
Specifically for room 106: there was a slight mildew smell present for our entire stay. Rules should be instated for other guests to be quiet after a reasonable time such as 9 pm. We could not sleep until after 11 pm as people were running around in the hallway and room above us. We could not call the front desk to complain because the phone landline was down and we were already in bedclothes.
Location was convenient to the beach and within a common with several places to dine.
Room was large and comfortable. Swimming pool was lovely. Greeted very cordially by all on the staff.
Breakfast could have been better. But was adequate.
