One of the best La Quintas we've ever stayed in
Pros:

We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of this La Quinta Inn location, having sadly stayed at lesser properties in the past. The suite we chose was ready early for us, very spacious, clean and nicely appointed. My only note about the room is that there was no in-room safe provided; otherwise, everything actually WORKED, including the great AC, TV, in-room phone, elevator, shower, etc. Breakfast was the typical fare, but plentiful, hot or cold where appropriate, and a varied selection of everything. Parking was plentiful and convenient. Staff was always helpful and courteous. This is a very nice property!

Pros:

The breakfast was decent and hot. The lady was very friendly and made sure there was plenty of food out for us!

Cons:

The hotel was renovating and they had tools, ladders, drop cloth and supplies out which wasnt an issue, the issue was that there were no visible workers, it was in the way, and i would hate to see a child hurt by the tools left out. The hotel floors were dirty, the bathtub in the room had mold/mildew in the grout that needs attention. The pool wasnt in working order and that would've been nice to have a heads up online prior to booking.

Woke Up to No Water
Pros:

Unfortunately, our experience with this La Quinta was colored by the fact that we woke up in the morning to find that the hotel had no water. While the water outage did impact beyond the hotel, there was no plan at the hotel to help guests other than passing out free bottle of water. The hotel did nothing to compensate guests who were inconvenienced by the water outage which prevented morning routines before departing the hotel. I am not sure how often this happens in this area, but I would probably opt to stay somewhere else if returning to the area. In fact, this La Quinta had significantly higher weekly rates than other hotels in the chain. It was below other hotels in this area. It is conveniently located off of Highway 20 at the exit. It is on Main St of Eastland with a Sonic and Dairy Queen a walkable distance nearby. It was also close to a Subway and Texasdelphia with an additional short drive to most other conveniences, sites and restaurants. The RoadsideAmerica.com attraction the Big Soup Can is practically on the hotel property. There is free off-street parking with enough space for larger vehicles. The grounds, facilities and rooms were very clean. We had a large king with lounge chair, two nightstands, bureau with three drawers, desk & chair, mini fridge with freezer section, microwave, coffeemaker, hairdryer, and iron & board. There was free reliable internet. There was a free accessible ice machine. There was a fitness center and meeting rooms, though the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance and repairs. The free hot breakfast has an early start (5:30) with biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage links, hash browns, waffles and other items. The hotel was generally quiet though busy and there was some highway noise on that side of the building.

Room wasn't clean and had to move a different room Next morning shower wasn't working at all. So left and went on our way home. Told them.and wasn't given any compensation.

Pros:

The front staff was wonderful and accommodating. The beds were comfortable and the coffee was good.

Cons:

The whole reason I booked was to use the pool and hot tub which were out of order and not updated on the site. There was hair in the bathtub as well.

Excellent Hotel
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent, bacon was good and crispy. It was in a great location. Check in was easy. Room was spacious and clean. Most of all it was quiet and restful.

Not nice
Cons:

My bathroom was not clean. There was a used bar of soap with hair on it left in the tub. The ceiling in my tub area was falling down. And not all towels in bathroom were not clean. It was disgusting.
