Great location , hotel lovely buzz in it . Rooms fab was upgraded to a suite as was the birthday girl . Nathan on reception was amazing dealt with any issue in a very professional manner was very attentive. A pleasure to deal with . Breakfast lovely . We dined in the restaurant one evening and they had a great special for 3 course for less than 20 sterling . Brilliant value . Food lovely and plenty of it too . Great trip
Hotel is lovely have stayed many times but on a recent trip to Liverpool we went to the hotel bar with friends to find they no longer play Beatles music in the bar which I find strange being a Beatles themed bar , I hope this isn’t a permanent thing or we won’t be returning.
Extremely noisy hotel, we werent warned about this when booking and nothing on the website. Staff werent bothered either! Room is far from luxury. I had to buy the most noise cancelling earplugs i could find and i could still hear it! Downlighter in ceiling was flashing and wasnt sitting correctly in ceiling so wires exposed.
The worst hotel ive stayed at
We stayed in the John Lennon Suite on Sunday the 1st of March for my 60th birthday. The night had been booked by my partner as part of my birthday celebrations and we were both looking forward to it. We have stayed previously at this hotel but not in a suite.
Firstly, when we arrived at the hotel the reception was full of suitcases and lots of people in the main reception area. It was very difficult to navigate to the check in desk. We were pleased to be informed the room was ready which was great. On entering the room the settee had splash marks up the side which we wiped off. Also it was disappointing to see that the complimentary slippers were very cheap, none branded as previously they were plush black velvet with the Hard Days Night logo attached. We mentioned this to the gentleman on reception who agreed they should have been branded slippers and said the settee would be marked from the floor cleaner however the settee sits on a carpet. He offered us a complementary drink which we accepted.
We had seen a Happy Hour advertised on the website so went down for pre dinner drinks early to be told no happy hour was available so we suggested they update their website.
At dinner we were given a menu which consisted of a Sunday roast. On our booking the link to the menu took you to the main menu we were not told this was not on offer. I do not eat roast. I was not offered an alternative so had to choose a starter. My partner also had his starter and main bought out together without a spoon to eat his soup. We had to request this twice.
All in all not the best experience. I really believe this hotel has gone down in service and quality. We mentioned our feedback on check out and we were told we would receive a 25% refund back on our card which we accepted. After 4 weeks of back and forth also contacting customer service we have been told staff have been off sick. We have been informed this should not have been agreed unfortunately we cannot do anything about this it was extremely disappointing to think they have gone back on their word. We have been offered a free drink and a 30% off our next stay. Firstly we do not live in Liverpool and my partner and I have very little free time together also why would I want to go back and stay at a chipotle that treats their customers as they do.
There are much better 4 star hotels in Liverpool and I would want to stay at one of them
No thank you Hard Days Night Hotel.
Very well placed in city, a great immersion in the Beatles world. Nice room, but... no glass in the bathroom, air conditionner too cold, no flexible in the shower and... we can hear our neighbourgs !!!
Good breakfast, very pleasant personnal (less at the reception).
We recommand to come here when you stay in Liverpool.
Very pleasant stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Lifts a bit on the slow side.
My daughter paid for a night here for my Christmas and birthday 10th March. It’s was wonderful to see all The Beatles memorabilia, I loved it as a big fan. The room was lovely and clean and very comfy. The aircon was a bit wonky but apart from that it was great. The breakfast was great, Jamie was very helpful and hilariously funny, very, very friendly too. All the staff were helpful and polite and friendly, Jamie was definitely that bit extra and we enjoyed him very much. Thanks all.
We were very surprised when we reached the hotel, wonderful inside and out. The staff are lovely and welcoming and our bonus was booking through groupon, we had breakfast included, free bottle of wine and 25% off food!
Our room was fantastic with a wardrobe, dressing gowns and slippers, iron, hairdryer, the bathroom had a bath and separate shower cubicle, also desk, coffee machine, kettle, and TV.
We will be booking again! 😊
Location excellent, atmosphere seemed great.
Room was a disgraceful size for the price. Don't be fooled by the Beatles propaganda, save yourself 50 or 60 quid and stay in any of the nearby hotel chains.
The location and warm welcome from the staff were a great start. However that is where it ended. The room was very dark and even with every light on it was still dark. Not enough plug sockets (just 2) or mirrors which made getting ready to go out a nightmare. One large mirror by the door practically in the dark with no plug socket anywhere nearby to dry your hair. A mirror in the bathroom behind a very wide sink made it difficult to be able to see to apply makeup.
No water or even drinking glasses in the room to get a drink - surely a basic requirement.
A very good shower but no ventilation at all so when the shower was on the entire room (including the bedroom) gets steamed up. No ventilation has meant mould growing on the ceiling in the bathroom.
For £150 a night you are paying a lot for location.
Great location, very clean rooms, Let down by poor service in restaurant, we asked if we could eat in the hotel Thursday 19th March and was shown to a table (4 quests) waiter was attentive although after main course we were just left - no return by the waiter no offer of a dessert menu or coffee so asked for our bill - when this arrived we asked if they were short staffed we we told yes - there was a party of 60 guests in another function room that took priority “perhaps it would have been better to have closed the restaurant on Thursday” ( there were 3 tables of diners) Found the breakfast buffet just average poor selection
Wow, a must if doing the whole Beatles thing when visiting Liverpool. It's the only Beatles themed hotel in the world and it's decorated fantastically. The room was spacious and luxurious, the beds and pillows comfy and we had a great view of the city and Liver building. Breakfast and the staff are great. It's so central to the fun packed things Liverpool has to offer and it's a 15 mins walk from the station. The cavern club is basically next door but the windows shut away to any noise if your want to rest before the rest do!! Absolutely loved our time here
What a brilliant hotel! The location couldn't be more perfect. Right in the heart of the city, a stone's throw from The Cavern club and lots of other bars and restaurants. Fabulous shopping centre on the doorstep.
Rooms are large, airy and spotless. Beds are comfy. Range of toiletries in bathroom. Food is also excellent - hot and plentiful. Also lovely staff. Would definitely recommend 👌
A group of us friends visited for a drink in the bar and have previously stayed some years back before moving to Liverpool or outskirts. I have to say that that I new the hotel had gone down and was doing things to upgrade but never imagined Hard Days Night would steep so low as to allow sex to take place in the disabled toilet (including noise) or exhibit sexual behaviour in the bar with guests there. The comment ‘while we always aim to maintain a comfortable and respectful environment for everyone !!! we unfortunately cannot always control the behaviour of individual guests.’ Enraged myself and group as we fully intended to plan a personal event at the hotel. The hotel clearly needs security to ask offensive guests to leave quietly, as the couple are known, they should be barred or kept a strict eye on.
I am stunned by this behaviour being allowed and by the hotel response.
Will certainly not be using or visiting this hotel again.
Fantastic hotel amazing location restaurant was brilliant, staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble and would like a special mention for kate who was outstanding
Thoroughly enjoyed my weekend at the Hard Day’s Night hotel with my daughter. Hotel room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would love to stay there again!
Great trip, friendly staff, nice drinks at the bar and beautiful room and balcony view from the McCartney suite.
If had to say a negative it would have to be the buffet breakfast but it's not bad, its just average.
If you want a public sex show and no sleep this is the hotel for you. I stayed here for work after stopping here many years ago with no problems I thought it was a good booking to make. On arrival the reception staff were more than sullen. I felt sorry for the concierge who had a personality trying to be the only welcoming face. Around 5pm we went for a drink in the hotel bar, we were served by the bar manger whose passive aggression could not be won over. Again I felt sorry for the nice staff in the bar having to work with this person. While sipping our cocktails an older couple having an affair (staff knew who they were) decided to use the bar disabled toilet for some ‘action.’ When they came back to the bar this became a whole drama in itself and not something the only two other guests in the bar should have been witness to. When colleagues arrived to meet us again the bar manger was rude.
I can honestly say this is the worst hotel room I’ve slept in and I had no sleep that night as the room was freezing, even with the heat on. I had to sleep in my clothes to have some warmth. The main bedroom lights came on every hour on the hour. A band was playing until 1am. The mattress was poor quality and quilt was thread bare. In the morning trying to have a shower was impossible and the shower screen could not be opened as the sink blocks it so you had to step inside the shower to turn the taps on which risked getting hair wet and scolding.
On checking out the receptionist barely looked at me and did not ask how my stay was. I then brought up the issues and they treated me as if I was making it up. I did write directly to you manger with my complaint but that was over 2 weeks ago and still no reply.
We stayed in January and returned again in February. We had a fantastic stay both times. We really want to give a shout out & thank the management Rachael & Elliot (& all the staff) they were absolutely fantastic to deal with, so accommodating and kind to us. We have already booked to come back in May. Looking forward to it guys.

From the minute we walked through the door we were met by a lovely member of staff called Jamie. He helped us with our luggage up and down the stairs from the restaurant entrance through to reception. Was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We then had the pleasure getting to know him more in the bar and thoroughly enjoyed his wicked sense of humour and looked after us immensely. Jamie was then on breakfast duty for the 3 mornings we were there. He was on the ball with everyone at their breakfast tables making sure everyone was ok and happy with their food and was anything else needed. We couldn’t believe he had only worked there for 4 days when we arrived! We thought he was a Manager he was that focused on customer care. We did meet the Manager on our 2nd day and he was really friendly too! The staff on reception were brilliant and said if there was anything we needed we just had to ask. Food was lovely albeit we only had breakfast and on our first day we had bar meals and we all enjoyed our food. (There was 12 of us). I would highly recommend visiting this hotel which is right in the centre of everything and the Cavern Club is literally round the corner! Thank you Jamie & Hard Days night Hotel for making our trip more enjoyable x
