Important information:

The wellness center is open from 10:00 until 19:00 and is available for 3 hours per day, upon reservation. Guests aged 15 and under cannot access the wellness center.

Guests aged 13 and under cannot access the indoor pool. The indoor pool is heated from September to May.

Please note that extra beds are actually sofa beds.

Cons:

Parte dello staff non all'altezza di un 5 stelle, soprattuto al ristorante interno, la cameriera non dava molte risposte e non aveva un atteggiamento accogliente. Tempi di attesa esagerati nonostante i pochissimi coperti. Inoltre ci hanno addebitato sulla camera il conto di qualcun altro (noi avevamo pagato direttamente li) e al chekout abbiamo dovuto chiarire la situazione, il che è stato spiacevole come ultimo ricordo prima di lasciare la struttura al mattino presto, allungare i tempi e aggiungere questo stress, oltre alla spiacevole sensazione di non essere creduti, per fortuna avevo mantenuto lo scontrino casualmente.
Inoltre mi hanno chiuso fuori dalla camera perchè la ricezione dei miei documenti non era andata a buon fine, c'erano modi più eleganti e da 5 stelle per comunicarlo. Ad esempio assicurarsene durante il checkin? La struttura è bella però le camere classic danno sul parcheggio e non hanno niente di speciale. Una bella esperienza ma sarebbe stata da 10 se ci fosse stata piu attenzione a questi aspetti.

Erholung und Luxus im Einklang

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück ein Traum für Menschen, die gerne gesund frühstücken, alles frisch und vom Feinsten! Die Anlage super gepflegt und die Badelandschaft optimal. Extrem hundefreundlich und sogar eine Liegewiese für Hunde im absoluten Schatten! 5 Sterne!!

Don't Order the Club Sandwich!
Pros:

This hotel is in a fabulous position on the shores of Lake Garda. It has beautiful grounds and a lovely pool. Sadly there are other aspects of the hotel that really let it down. To begin with, the two female receptionists were surly and unwelcoming. We late met a male receptionist who was really helpful and pleasant.

We arrived early so we didn't expect our room to be ready but we were given a time of 14:30 and we sat by the pool to wait. When 14:30 arrived I returned to reception and was told that it would be another half hour before the room was ready. I returned to reception 4 times before I was finally given our key. If we had been told at the start that our room would be ready by 16:00, we would have been perfectly happy.

Our accommodation was a bungalow by the pool. Access for my disabled partner was easy, and the room was spacious and very clean. The only downside was the bedside furniture which was stylish but left very little room for storage.

Service in the B-Bay restaurant was excellent in the mornings and the breakfast buffet was extensive. However, the evening service was slow and the attitude of some of the evening staff were surly and inattentive. Some of the basic items on the menu had been pretentiously overworked. The club sandwich was the worst club sandwich that I have ever attempted to eat in my life! It was made from the wrong type of bread, so it disintegrated into a sloppy mess when I tried to eat it. The hard-boiled egg on the sandwich had been replaced with a rubbery piece of omellette; it was a disaster.

The hotel is a long was from the local towns and is situated on the main road. There are no pavements so it is impossible to walk into town. if you exit the hotel via the gate at the bottom of the garden, you can take a stroll along a short promenade to a little harbour. There are a couple of little restaurants there. We wish we had know that earlier!

This could be a wonderful place to stay. The poolside staff, the male receptionist and the breakfast staff are all efficient and very friendly. It is such a shame that the female receptionists and the evening staff let the side down badly.

Lovely hotel right on the lake
Pros:

The hotel is lovely right on the lake. Beds and pillows very comfortable and plenty of toiletries and tea coffee supplies. We were particularly grateful for the daily water bottles. Breakfast is plentiful and lots of choice. Without exception all the staff were just delightful and couldn't do enough for you. The only down side would be the hotel's actual location, on a main road with only a couple of walkable eateries. Desenzano is where all the ferries go from to visit the lake towns and you have to book taxis to and from the town as there are no taxi ranks in town or reliable buses and Uber does not operate in this area. This was quite costly and required planning. We walked it a couple of times which is perfectly pleasant and about an hour, however you wouldn't want to do that in the evening or in extreme heat.

Stolen blazer
Pros:

$2,000 blazer left in room by mistake when I checked out. Two days later I discovered I had left it at the hotel. When I inquired, I was told the blazer could not be located. The only plausible explanation is that someone on hotel staff stole the blazer. Safety of guests and their property should be the number one priority and Splendido failed miserably in this regard.

Pros:

Spent 2 days here pre cruise .

Had a bungelow? Room with no view whatsoever.

Clean but not ideal .

Breakfast good , but lunch/
dinner poor and overpriced.

Hence most guests eat along the lake where we had excellent pizza etc.

Also not near any town .

Ok for a day or so .

Would not recommend

Besonders positiv hervorzuheben sind das hervorragende Frühstück, die schöne Lage und der gepflegte Poolbereich.

Cons:

Die Zimmer waren leider in einem unzureichenden Zustand. Darüber hinaus hätten wir uns vom Personal an der Rezeption und an der Poolbar einen freundlicheren und aufmerksameren Umgang gewünscht.

Nice hotel and staff,but

As with some other reviewers stayed here for x 2 nights pre cruise,the hotel is modern with good big rooms and bathroom areas,the breakfast was very good and all the staff are very friendly and want to please, the prices are expensive but are probably in line with other hotels of this quality, reception was very well organised when the group arrived by coach, however ,the coach had to park and off load cases on a main road which was pretty dangerous for the driver off loading and collection by the passengers.The down side to this hotel is you are a captive audience with little or no taxi availability,and no proper ferry service,which meant you couldn’t really leave the property,but if you just like to sunbathe then it probably wouldn’t bother you,no ice,and no corkscrew and no shops within walking distance makes it a pretty expensive stay.

Excellent hotel backing into the lake
Pros:

We stayed at the Splendido Bay for two nights as part of a cruise and stay holiday. There were about 30 in our group.
We felt at home from the start. The staff are very friendly.
The hotel backs onto the lake and there are large gardens with a swimming pool and a pool bar. We decided to have a lazy day by the pool but had to come in at about 1.30 as it was very hot.

We had a very comfortable room on the ground floor. The air conditioning is very efficient which is important to us as we like to be cool at night. The buffet breakfast, which was included in our stay, was excellent, with everything fresh and a very wide choice. We had breakfast on the outside terrace.
There are only two niggles
1. The bar and food prices are very high but this seems to be standard for a hotel of this class. For example 16 euros for a pino colada and 19 euros for minestrone soup although it did come with lovely rustic bread.
2 There are no shops etc within walking distance and you'd need a car. There is an excellent restaurant next door (Il Lido).
The hotel has 2 restaurants. One is expensive and the other, which is Michelin listed is very expensive.

Die Lage und das Frühstück war super.

Cons:

Der Allgemeinzustand des Zimmer/Hotel war kein 5Sterne Hotel für mich eher ein 4Sterne.
Der Hotelparkservice hat meine Fahrzeug beim parkieren gegen ein anderes Fahrzeug gefahren und zuerst behauptet es war nicht seine schuld.
