Location was great for the football ground and the bars/restaurants on the riverside. Close to some great shops and only 20 mins walk into the city centre
The soap and shower gel is 'parsley stem' fragrance. We didn't like it very much 🤣 but this was the only downside
Super friendly staff, excellent breakfast, great location, safe and comfortable.
We arrived in the early hours of the morning at 1am but had informed the hotel of this beforehand. There was someone there waiting for us and was super friendly and accomadating. I did call the customer helpline line in the morning before getting to the hotel and they again were very helpful in double checking our check in request
Rooms could do with a redecoration, looks a bit old and worn. My room viewed the football pitch and i could understand why there is a lot of wear and tear and obviously you don't want to have a really nice and expensive room when it could be damaged by football fans. So i can understand why the hotel chain hasn't updated them.
Small car park at the rear of the hotel. The car park is very small and cramped, we did get a space but can imagine it being difficult on match days and city events

The rooms were spacious and the twin beds were a good size and comfortable. The location was excellent for walking into the city and for ease of getting out of town by car. The rooms were clean and we had inter-connecting rooms as requested. Lifts worked efficiently and the hotel had a nice feel.
Not a big fan of the Holiday Inn liquid soap and shower gel - the scent isn't that pleasant - but that's a comment for the hotel group, not this hotel specifically.

Room temp was either hot or cold, no happy medium.

There was a constant sort of humming noise I think coming from an outside generator. I was too tired to ask to move room. Next time I will.
Staff were extremely friendly, professional, and very helpful. The hotel was very well maintained ,comfortable and clean. The stadium view was a lovely addition to the experience, and it was a pleasure staying there.
Slight confusion over the breakfast options. The price of the continental was cheaper than the cooked breakfast, but the staff quickly rectified the issue. The breakfast was excellent, none the less, with an extensive choice.
