The breakfast buffet. The hotel should have let the guests know that the "CONTINENTAL STYLE FOODS SERVED" which were very poorly marked in the dining room was $10.50 per person! The food was horrible and was the same as what I could get at a choice brand hotel which is included with the room! It's would have been very convenient to mention at check in the it was very costly and nasty. The only thing really eatable was the pre packaged cereal. Once again as stated above "CONTINENTAL STYLE FOODS"!

It was fine for an overnight stay. But we probably won’t stay again.

The hotel was clean. Staff was very friendly.

Cons:

Our room was very cramped. There was no microwave in the room. That was odd and a bit inconvenient. Hotel definitely needs to be updated.

Great location but poor amenities. It’s an older hotel, it smells like an older hotel and there is nowhere to charge any

Cons:

We didn’t like the smell in the rooms (wet and musty). There was no place to charge anything, no USBs in the night stands or on the table or in the lamps. The furnishings were old as they didn’t have any updated features.

Pros:

No free breakfast, so we didn't dine there. Room was nice.

Cons:

No tea offered, just coffee to guests. Carpet in the hallways was rippling and was held down with duct tape. The pool was out of order. There was litter on the parking lot, some of which I picked up... no charge. The ice machine on the fourth floor was out of order. I didn't like the $50 service fee. I call BS on that.

For the price comparatively, we were disappointed this Holiday Inn is so run down.

The geographic location

Air conditioning was spotty (worked off/on), air conditioning not in elevators made it very warm, all area rugs were rippled up causing tripping hazard even though they were taped down making them all unsightly. Shower leaked all weekend. Hotel ran out of towels and we had to give one to another guest. Breakfast was $13 if you didn’t pay ahead. Breakfast staff was great; food, not so much. Eggs were edible, gravy for biscuits tasted soapy, 3 types of sausage was passable (per spouse) but the homemade croissants were very good. Second morning, there was only one staff member to help the breakfast crowd. He was great but busy. My spouse ordered one glass was the cost of a gallon of milk. I don’t mind paying a fair price for cleanliness and a few amenities, but compared to other newer hotels in the area (same price range) we won’t book this hotel again and we come too that area frequently. Owners of chain would never stay there nor have a family member stay there.

Great people. Wonderful service but somewhat dated.
Pros:

Location was great. We were in town for a baseball tournament.

Cons:

This hotel needs to be renovated. The bubbling carpet down the main hallway held together with duct tape is not acceptable. The showers are extremely dated. With several hotels surrounding this property, a revamp is need to stay competitive.
