Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Clearwater US 19 North by IHG

i loved my room.. The bed was comfortable I wished i could have stayed longer. The breakfast was fine..I liked the fact that i could leave the dining room and enjoyed my meal in the comfort of my room. I love that there is a refrigerator and microwave. I did not used the fitness room. I hope the treadmill is fixed and lighter weights like 5 and 10 pound weights are added so it can be accessible to everyone. The new decor was nice. The gentleman doing the food was attentive,warm and inviting.The lemon water is s nice touch,but wished cookies or chocolate were the gifts instead of peppermint. The information shelf about the area is very helpful with the brochures. I love that the bus stop is right there in front on Gulf Bay and Clearwater Mall is very close by.

The room was very spacious. The location was great. Didn’t eat breakfast at the facility during our stay but the coffee was good. The bed was pretty comfortable.

We had wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean,comfortable,and well maintened, and entire staff was friendly and welcoming.A very special thank you to one outstanding employee Corey a second shift manager.His willingness to help went above and beyond and made us feel valued guests. We will definitely be returning to this hotel and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

We spent two nights at the Holiday Inn Express Clearwater and absolutely loved our stay. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, the front desk agent greeted us with a friendly smile, was polite, and clearly explained everything about our room, breakfast, and the hotel amenities.
Our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless. Kudos to the housekeeping team for keeping everything in excellent condition — their hard work really shows.
At checkout, Crystal at the front desk was incredibly helpful and answered all my questions before we headed out. Her kindness made the departure just as pleasant as the arrival.
I highly recommend this location to anyone looking to stay close to the beach. It’s also conveniently near local restaurants, pharmacies, and shops, which made getting around super easy.
We will definitely stay here again.

We chose this location because it was affordable and 30 mins away from Clearwater Beach. It allowed us an overnight instead of a 2 hr drive back to the Villages. Once we returned from the beach in the early evening we parked in the parking lot. Its conscience locate doff the freeway and they have coffee, tea and citrus water for you in the modern lobby with lots of seating if needed. No line inside on a Tuesday night. We had originally invited guests and paid for their room but they had to cancel because of an emergency. We tried to cancel it through the 3rd party but it didn’t get handled. We mentioned that to Corey who was at the check in and he recommended we try again and gave us the front desk number. We checked into the room and called again and Corey got it all taken care of and he saved us the extra room charge. So thankful for his help! We called for extra towels and a blanket and Corey brought those up and even threw in a microwaveable popcorn. So nice! We headed to dinner and when we returned the parking in the front was full but lucking in the back has a n entrance right to the elevators. I stopped to get mint tea at the from desk and Corey against was to the rescue and hunted some down for me. If every Holiday Inn had a Corey the world would be a happier place. Really glad to have had his wonderful customer service this trip 😊

I have traveled and stayed in many hotels, but this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. After driving 5 hours to get here, we were completely let down by both the property conditions and the staff.

The Room & Property Conditions:

The room had a terrible, noticeable odor the moment we walked in.

The bathroom door would not lock, which is a major privacy issue.

The bathtub was visibly rusty, and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling.

To top it off, water was actively dripping from the ceiling in the breakfast area.

The Service:
The customer service was appalling. The night staff promised us a room change due to these issues. When I followed up with the front desk lady the next morning, she was incredibly rude. She dismissed the night staff by saying they "don't know anything," and then told me, "All our bathtubs are rusty, we cannot change the room."

She then made an incredibly insulting, xenophobic comment, saying, "It might happen in your country, we don’t do it here." I have lived in the United States for more than 20 years. For a hospitality professional to make assumptions and insult a paying guest like that is disgusting.

When she finally called the manager over, they only offered to change one of our rooms, showing a complete lack of accountability for the state of their hotel.

I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. Save your money and stay somewhere where the property is maintained and the staff. treats human beings with basic respect.
