Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Clearwater US 19 North by IHG

We stayed seven nights, March 2-9. The first three were in a room that really shouldn't have even been offered to a guest in the shape it was in. It was room 339. It definitely looked beat, (some paint chipping and didn't feel clean). There was no transition molding from the foyer area to the bedroom area, so you could easily stub your toe. There was no room darkening shade on the window, it was totally missing! So you were greeted with bright morning light at about 5;00am onward. The shower head in the tub was pathetically insufficient. On the shower head setting, it was very weak, and there was no way it would rinse the shampoo from your hair. On the third night, the room above us had their toilet overflow, and this leaked down through the ceiling into our bathroom. When I went to use the bathroom at midnight there was a large puddle in our bathroom. I wasn't able to call down to the front desk and report this, because there was no phone in our room!! So, I had to put on some clothes and go down to the front desk and report this. At the front desk they gave me several towels, to mop up the puddle in the bathroom. They said there was no other room to move to, until the next day. They suggested that we check in with the front desk the next day if we wanted to change rooms. ...... The next morning, after breakfast we checked with the front desk and took up their offer to switch rooms. We were given room 422. This proved to be a much better room. It had the transition molding from the foyer to the bedroom area. It had a room darkening shade on the window. There was also a telephone. The shower head in the tub provided adequate pressure at any of the three settings. The only drawback to the second room, was that the curved curtain rod was bent downward, causing the curtain to slide to the middle while showering, exposing a foot on either end, which caused the floor to get wet. ........ The hotel pictures showed a laundry that could be used.

One kitchen staff person was very rude. He was irritated by any question. I could not find butter which was placed behind another dish and he answered in an angry way. I still had to look where he pointed. There was construction going on but the rooms were very dated. The shower was barely warm. I will never stay here again.

There was construction going on, I was not warned about this before hand. The bath tubs had rust and dirt in them, the staff at check-in were not willing to store our luggage even though I called the day before and the woman on the phone said that they would hold my luggage. There was constant construction in the lobby, portions of the lobby had no floors.

La piscine qui était pleine de feuilles.
La femme de chambre qui frappe à 9h20 le jour de notre départ pour faire la chambre.

Not being able to park my vehicle at hotel my last night there because other guests had parked their vehicles laterally across marked parking spots taking up a minimum of three spaces.
