Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Swansea by IHG

Room was upgraded to "suite" given my status in IHG. However, the room was very poorly lit in a number of areas that simply needed some lighting. Room also looked out onto the front structure by lobby entrance, window view was mostly blocked, the seal in one pane had totally failed, could not see through the glass. I wasn't in the room much, but basic fixes would be in order.

The housekeepers will take your belongings and the manager does not care to even contact you.

I have stayed here several times for multiple days. The last time, will unfortunately be my last time.

On the day of check out it was snowing. I took my first load to the car to brush it off and start the car, and grab my wallet to leave a tip from the center console.

. In the approximately 20 minutes that took, the housekeepers entered my room and removed my belongings.. they had my items in trash bins, stuffed in laundry bin, and on the bottom of their cart.

These belonging including a brand new parka with tags $300, snowshoes MSR Lightning Ascents $350, and various other small items for an additional $75.

Check out is at 11am, I started going down after breakfast at 9:45 am. When I walked past with my first load they were cleaning a room two doors down. I caught the housekeepers with my belongings at approximately 10:20am. They were still in that room, had skipped the room in between to enter my room.

The dirty towels and trash were not removed from my room. Only my belongings. When confronted they told me to my face their manager had called them and said I had checked out. I obviously had not nor had I gone to the desk at this point.

I immediately reported this to the front desk clerk. She told the manager who was a cross the lobby. Because of the confrontation and snow I was running late to get ahead of the worsening storm and asked that they handle a solution and contact me. I was told money would be put on my account for the inconvenience.

I have never heard from the manager in these ensuing months. I do not know what account they were putting money on as it has never appeared. I do not feel comfortable staying there anymore after this violation and subsequent lies by multiple staff members.

This incident has made me question my previous visit to this hotel.

Everything was very good I do not have any complaints.

Smelled like cigarettes while 2nd floor . Room 217 or 215 was smoking all day night morning it was disgusting

There were no lightbulbs in the night bed lamps, in fact the electrical fixtures were removed. So, no bed reading, and when I asked for bulbs, it was a couple hours and a couple promptings before they came to only find there was no where to screw the bulbs in. Bizarre.
And the TV only played HBO on whatever show was being screened at the time. No choices for channels or other shows.

Changed rooms twice, no hot water didnt even stay the night. We ended up going somewhere else

The room temperature upon arrival was a little chilly but we were able to quickly adjust the heat to our liking.

A lady across the room from us on third floor smoking cigarettes and weed with a dog and so much company over really loud slamming doors in and out I’m just pregnant almost due and was there for a week just didn’t like that part other than everything else was fine

Really, I have nothing to complain about
