Really nice staff, great car parking, lovely breakfast
Nothing
We were a family of five with three young children. We requested at the time of booking to have connected rooms or at least two rooms together however the hotel provided rooms far away without any consideration of separating the family and young children.
The bed was very comfortable, I had a great night sleep.
For me personally, the location was ideal as my son lives a 5 minute walk away.
The breakfast was excellent. Well presented and plentiful.
I enjoyed everything about my stay.
staff were very friendly and allowed me and my friends to relax in the common area as we were in town for the card tournament so it was nice to be able to relax and practice and the staff were happy to let us use the common area for this
Very close to city centre, friendly/helpful staff
The receptionist on the Sunday afternoon/evening when I arrived and later (Mollie, I think her name was) was very welcoming and helpful and made a huge difference to the quality of my stay. When I returned from my concert she provided me with paper to write down the set list the band had played while it was still fresh in my mind. The food in the restaurant on Sunday evening was also very good, represented good value for money, and was served promptly by a very pleasant waitress.
My main criticism was the bar. The choice of beers was extremely restricted, with nothing at all catering to bitter drinkers, or real ale enthusiasts, such as myself. I bought a bottled pale ale, which was actually more drinkable than I expected (usually pale coloured beers are like drinking a glass of chilled urine and taste utterly foul), though I was disappointed at only getting about 2/3 of a pint in the bottle - usually bottled beers are 500ml and fill a pint glass, when you buy in the supermarket, but then I only look at British made bitters and ales - maybe foreign beers and lagers/pilsners are different. Still, I was disappointed at not being able to get what I consider to be a decent pint of beer in your bar.
Also, at breakfast, jam for the toast was only in a large communal squeezy-bottle. I would have expected individual plastic packs. If you like tea to drink with your breakfast, it was a case of dangling a teabag in a cup, which I refused to do, and a staff member then provided a teapot. However, it was still using teabags with string and tags attached, which restricts the brewing process and creates a harsh brew - at the best of times teabags are not as good quality as loose leaf tea. The expectation that some people have that a cup of tea should be made in seconds disturbs and disappoints me- these people unfortunately have probably never experienced a top-quality cup of tea that has been allowed to brew at its own pace for 3-5 minutes without excessive stirring or agitation of the brewing vessel. Some people can absolutely tell the difference.

The staff were so lovely, the location was great and good car parking. Food was also really nice.
I booked a three bed as was travelling with my daughters but the sofa bed was awful. So uncomfortable I barely slept, the mattress wasn’t even straight.
Lovely staff, made me very welcome.
