Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lenoir Cty by IHG

Wow was this a rough one night stay. We came up for a memorial service the next day, so we only needed a place to lay our heads, but I wish we had chosen somewhere else. I booked two king beds according to hotels.com, but came to find out that the listing was incorrect and that there are no kings at all anywhere in this hotel. That was a bummer, but I wish that had been our only issue. The room smelled musty, the blinds were operated by a remote that did not work so we couldn't get them to open, the TV had an error screen and would not connect, the air conditioning unit was so loud and was on and off all night, which meant we intermittently woke up in a sweat. We wanted to use the pullout couch for my daughter, but the mattress was covered in large stains and the hotel's only solution was to provide an extra mattress cover. And finally, the hallway absolutely reeked of weed. I was duped by the idea that I could count on a Holiday Inn Express to meet a certain standard, especially at the price we paid for our room (which was comparable to a much newer hotel that's close by), but this missed the mark big time and made for a really rough night on top of an already sad weekend.

Loved the friendly staff

Great stay. Breakfast was great. Bed was comfortable. We always have a great experience with Holiday Inn Express.

Stay was wonderful. Located in a jumbled area but the facility is clean and the breakfast buffet was wonderful and fresh.

Pool was closed, ice machine did not work, ceiling was leaking.

Breakfast was ok. Did not like the water damage and mold around the window of our room.

It was for a quick stay while on vacation. The room was nice, clean, and comfy. Very satisfied!

Good location

Ok, not the best I’ve ever been to. The hotel share a parking lot with another budget hotel and it seemed there were always people milling around the parking area … don’t have a clue why.

Clean and no surprises

We had a wonderful stay! The room was clean, bed was comfortable, the breakfast wa delicious with many options to choose from, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Staff was friendly and accommodating! Beds were comfy and the pool was very welcoming for our toddlers to burn off some energy!

It’s in poor condition. Mold literally falling from the ceiling.

The lady at desk was polite friendly helpful

Front desk staff was helpful when needed. All 4 USB ports in room 208 were unusable due to being either crooked when installed or having been broken over time. The room was spacious and clean. The tub had a constant leak though
