Holiday Inn Express and Suites - Petersburg - Fort Lee by IHG

The staff is always wonderful here! Diamond was super friendly and very helpful. The shower could use an upgrade, better curtain and new shower head. Otherwise it was a great stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was great! Will definitely stay here again.

Great hotel.

We had an unexpected stay here when my 94 year old mom became urgently sick while traveling. Thank God we found Bon Secours hospital where with Gods help they saved her life. We stayed at the HI for 10 unexpected nights. The staff new our situation and continually gave us late check outs till we knew we were staying and then extended our stay. This allowed us to stay in the same room. The assistant manager (I’m sorry with all the trauma I forgot her name) She asked regularly how mom was doing and had I eaten. She called the manager and they comped us a night! We were surprised and so thankful. They blessed us!

We stayed here for one night. The staff is excellent! We enjoyed the indoor pool and the breakfast was what to be expected for free breakfast. I would definitely stay again!

All of the staff were friendly and our room was spacious! The indoor pool was not heated and was cold. Not enough towels, it was evening so laundry should have been completed. The breakfast was mediocre. Great idea for the automatic pancake machine however it does need a tune up as only 1 side was completely cooked.

The only issue I had on this trip was that the toilet wasn’t working. I was moved to another room and the toilet was still giving us a hard time.. I believe they need to update the toilet systems and toilets because they are very low.

The mattresses need to be changed, the beds were not comfortable.

Nice clean room. My family and I were very impressed with the breakfast provided, it definitely exceeded our expectations.

The pool was very dirty, it was quite disgusting. The staff was very nice, the property was safe and conveniently located

Stay was excellent had it not been for A/C problem. I asked about changing room or something but nothing ever happened. Had to stay in a 81degree room til about 9 pm when it cooled off. Would've loved to made this hotel my go to on my frequent trips to Petersburg but that was unacceptable

The trouble we had was with the WiFi. It was hard to capture and would keep going in and out. Also, there was some wear and tear on the rooms, i.e., lampshade was only on two hooks, not three, leaking faucet in bathroom, soaps not locked into place. Also, the air conditioning unit in one room would not lock into the desired temp.

When I arrived I was told they are sold out and they did not have my reservation. After I showed them my Expedia itinerary she somehow miraculously found me in her system. Then she told me someone else had checked into my room and that she was going to go up to my room to see if anyone was there. After she came down and told me no one was in my room she finally got my key cards 45 minutes later.
What a start….

Our one night stay was great. We even got a room upgrade!

The pool was very very cold. Burrrr. Not good for the kids.

It was good. The bathroom could use updating.
