I had a great stay, rooms were clean, and beds were comfortable.

They need to clean better

Staff was friendly and nice. How spacious the rooms were. Bed was very comfortable

Cons:

Toilet issues, the cleaning was not good. There was other renters stuff in the drawers, bugs crawling on the nightstand, plugs would not let the drawer stay up it would sag. Not all plugs were like that. There was a towel stained red that did not get changed prior to us being there. All this should have been checked prior to our check in. So discussing.

The location of our room - top floor and back of hotel made it nice and quiet. The breakfast room was really superlative. Good food and good variety.

Cons:

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Hope, Arkansas the night before we arrived in Salado and the two hotels were as different as night and day. In Arkansas we received a USA Today newspaper, free cookies, and free fruit - none of which were available in Salado. The bed in Salado must be 20 years old because it was in terrible shape. We never received any housekeeping or cleaning services during the entire 4-night, 3-day stay. They said someone forgot to make a note of it. The desk clerk had to come up and empty our trashcans and bring us clean towels. I kept having to go to the front desk to get coffee and cups.

I would stay again, only after the renovations are complete
Pros:

Convenient location, right off I-35. The bed and pillows were great!

Cons:

The property is undergoing a major renovation.
The fitness center was not usable due to renovations. The phone and tv remote did not work, they were quick and attentive to fix these issues. There was a used bar of soap in the shower. Yuk!!
I felt that the price was high given that the renovations are in progress.

Pros:

Staff was welcoming. Breakfast was yummy. Room was clean. I was surprised there was no “real” tv. Only streaming options. I suppose for the cost, maybe that was to be expected.

Disappointed with the hotel, but staff was great

Location was ok, although not as close to downtown Salado as we expected. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we really liked the staff.

Cons:

First room we were given had hair all over bathroom floor and in the bed, like it was not even cleaned. This room also smelled gross. The front desk gave us another room and although it seemed cleaner, we found 2 bugs on the walls and it was very dark in the room. The rooms are very outdated and did not look like the website images. Breakfast was not good, they had expired cream and yogurts out.
