The hotel is undergoing a 2-phase renovation. The transformation covers 74 guestrooms and suites and the creation of a new state-of-the-art Fitness Center. Pros:

Staff was wonderful, I needed an extra night and they moved a whole bed into a room to keep me from having to change hotels. Would definitely stay again.

A very pleasant and enjoyable stay
Pros:

We loved the pool, it was warm! And we loved the breakfast, lots of variety. Very clean property.

It was right by the freeway so our room was kind of loud with freeway noises.

We were at an event at the Ford Center. It was very close and there are restaurants around the ford center

The hotel was clean and staff friendly. We stayed 3 days and our room was cleaned, fresh sheets and towels.

Cons:

We had a connecting room that we didn’t use but the preorder no the other side were very loud.

Only issue we had was it happened to be a night that there was a bunch of young wrestlers in the room above us, which was somewhat noisy. (running, stomping)

We traveled from out of town and were only informed two days before our arrival that the hotel was under construction and the pool would be closed. This was extremely disappointing, as our two kids were looking forward to swimming and it was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel.

We chose to keep our reservation, but the stay was unacceptable. On both days, the fire alarm went off multiple times for no reason, causing unnecessary disruption and frustration. The hotel’s response to both the construction issues and repeated false alarms was to offer two free water bottles. That is not even close to an appropriate resolution for the level of inconvenience we experienced.

We were not notified at the time of booking that the hotel was under construction, which feels misleading. Had we known, we would have chosen a different property.

To say this was a disappointing experience is an understatement. The lack of communication, inadequate accommodations, and repeated disturbances made this stay one of the worst we’ve had.
