We stayed at Tanoa Waterfront in Lautoka for 3 nights while visiting family nearby. Then one additional night a week later.
This is the best of hotels in Lautoka. It’s right across the road from the waterfront,(not a beach though). The hotel decor is slightly dated, but not unsightly. Well kept.
It has a bar with a nice patio, a restaurant that serves good food, a spa service, and two outdoor pools. The largest pool is nicely landscaped and a decent size. The only issue was that the pool chiller was not working and the pool was overly warm.
The staff are all very warm and friendly.
The rooms are spacious and well maintained, but again - a bit dated. On our second visit, the AC was not working to 100%, but it was fine for a night.
The location of this hotel is central in Lautoka, and it’s a good option to stay.
Room cleanliness
No Hot water for shower at night, Reported to reception, still even no hot water at 9.30am next day. For rate I think thats pretty poor
Great place, Great service, polite all staff, food quality is best including presentation
Great location friendly staff and great service.
A bit tired in the old section but they are doing up so can't wait to see that.
It’s been great experience staying in this hotel. As a member of Tanoa group I would like to share my experience with you. The service is wonderful. Very clean, friendly staff, clean environment, million dollar sea view from the restaurant, healthy menu, all amenities are great, worth to stay , no noise and last but not the least the location is perfect to stay.

I stayed in two rooms as the first room I had advised had bed bugs, I packed my belongings and moved to another room despite being told by staff that house keeping had a look and don’t know what I was talking about, even though I had extremely visible bites on my body, when moved to a new room bed bug company protocol was also not followed. After sleeping in my new room for one night, I had more bites then actually found a bed bug, so called reception and requested a manager to come to my room immediately, I had two seperate staff come, not one of them being a manager, I then packed my belongings again after giving the staff a located bed bugs found in a tissue and went to reception where I met with the branch manager. I was advised that the staff dis not follow protocol of getting my belongings fumigated and clothes washed prior to moving rooms, the reason being, the did not believe they had bed bugs. At this point I was furious. The manager advised bed bugs is an extremely rare occurrence- however looking at reviews now, I’m definitely not the only one.
The staff weren’t your typical Fijian Hotel staff, they were not friendly, didnt smile, were nor helpful (I was given verbal instructions on how to get to my room with no porter assistance with my bags, when I gave the receptionist the look of, are you serious! They advised to wait and they would find someone to assist me)
