Holiday Inn Express Schaumburg-Rolling Meadows by IHG

Convenient for our purpose of travel . The convenience of the shuttle service to and from Conference / airport was a great benefit.

This hotel is very dated. The pool was closed. My room wasn’t finished painted and had no totaled paper holder, shower had pubic hairs, bathroom light wouldn’t stay on shorted out, pool is not open at this location in middle of summer. Dirty lobby and dated furniture. When I was checking in heard clerk tell another guess your room number is ### it should be clean, but if not, let us know? Excuse me?? Had potato bugs in my room as well.

When I came up to the hallway on floor five headed tomy room there was on there was a young Indian boy playing cars in a stairwell while I assumed his mother was cleaning a room the hallway was filthy. I’ve stayed in a lot of holiday inn expresses in my business career and this is got to be one of the worst I have stayed in. Won’t be back here ever!!

Very disappointing stay. I notified the hotel that my flight was delayed and I would be arriving after midnight, but never received a response. When I arrived, the front desk was overwhelmed with a long line of guests, many of whom had been assigned rooms that were not yet cleaned.

My room was available, but it was missing basic items such as a TV remote, a chair, phone, clock, etc. The air conditioning /heater was compleetely broken also making the room very uncomfortable.

I asked to be moved the next day, but no other rooms were available. The staff was courteous, but the hotel appeared severely understaffed and poorly managed. I checked out early and would not stay here again.

This place really needs some work. Not show how it averages 4 stars on Trip Advisor.

I’d say breakfast was the best thing here.

WiFi signal wasn’t good. Pool wasn’t in operation. Elevators are super slow.

Fitness center (if you can call it that) had only 1 bike, 1 elliptical and 2 treadmills (one was broke). No towels. Garbage can in the fitness center hadn’t been emptied in a while.

The whole place - room, 3rd floor hallway, and fitness center - smelled of mold.

Maybe this place may be good for one night when you need a place to sleep and shower. Any longer than 1 night, I’d go somewhere else. Definitely wouldn’t bring a young family here.

This place is just old and unkempt.

I will go elsewhere next time if I’m staying in this area

THE POOL IS NOT OPEN EVER! This place lies everywhere and says they have a pool. They do NOT have a pool. Look at the photos. They have a dilapidated, hasn't been used in months, not maintained, weeds growing up through the concrete hole in the ground with a permanent cover on top. Priceline, google, tripadvisor, everywhere will tell you this place has a pool and that is a LIE. They will lie to you and take your money. The place is dirty, not maintained, and falling apart. The worst experience I've ever had at a hotel and they practical laugh in your face if you expected a pool. They know they lie to get people in and dont care. I even had priceline dispute the stay with them and they said “the pool was just closed today”. With a 3 foot weed growing out of the concrete. BS. Fkn liars.

staff were lovely, 24hr bean to cup machine absolutely fantastic. Good Value for money especially if you like turkey sausage for breakfast !
