A good stay
Pros:

One night stay. Hotel is undergoing a refurb on the ground floor - reception was a desk surrounded by building work. We stayed mid Feb and they hoped to have the new reception open by early March.

As always with HIX we had a small double bed in quite a spacious room. Everything was clean.

We were given complimentary water bottles to fill from the water machine as they don’t put water in the room. The only water station for the whole hotel is on the ground floor.

There is a seating area and table football on the lower ground floor before you enter the dining room.

Breakfast was good with the usual HIX selections.

Hotel is well placed for walking into the town centre where there are several nice restaurants. We always have raclette in Le Ch’ti Charivari in one of the two squares.
