A Short, But Pleasant Stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites.
Pros:

We were on Day Two of a two-day stay in Cincinnati. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cincinnati-Mason was a comfortable and clean hotel. We didn't use any of the amenities of the hotel, but it was a nice hotel. I would book this hotel here again for a longer stay. Probably a great spot for families attending King's island.

Where hospitality goes to die.
Pros:

On checking in we found the following faults: light in living room flickering on/off/on interminably, neither phone connected with dial tone, one handset not even connected to the phone. Only one staff on duty, no maintenance. We got an offer to change rooms and a ‘maybe that room doesn’t have phones.. really?

Leaving tip on pillow we went out for the day and came back to un made bed, no vacuuming, no replaced coffee or cups. Tips gone and bathroom tidy. Calling front desk were told as this was an ‘Express’ you have to specifically ask for a full service.

Front desk staff were uniformly untrained and one young man belligerent. All unhelpful.

The only staff who were at all hardworking and effective were the young ladies who set up and maintained the breakfast operation.

Very disappointing stay overall.

Large room and bathroom. Comfortable beds and good location.

Cons:

The pool was small and the mini fridge was set to barely cool. The adjuster was removed and unable to regulate temperature.
