Pros:

Staff was courteous. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. While all motel breakfasts are similar, this was one of, if not the best I've had, with real ham. It was very good. You usually get a very greasy, so so sausage or extremely thin bacon. They will both do, but the ham set it over the top.

Cons:

The parking was doable, but quite tight.

On a separate note, having nothing to do with this facility, but with my booking experience, I was beyond frustrated. This booking was for an appointment at Mayo. I'd previously stayed at Holliday Inn Express SE- Medical. It costs a little more, I'm assuming because of demand and proximity to the hospital. I looked at it late one night in early June, and the price was what it always had been. I decided to wait and book the next morning. The price went up $63 overnight. I went ahead and booked. It bothered me, but I did it anyway. I checked a day or so later and it had come down $34. I kept watching the price and it was all over the place from day to day. After a couple weeks I decided to book at the one closer to the beach and cancel my previous reservation. It was MUCH cheaper and a little further away, but not bad.

On the day before my reservation, I got a text asking me to pre-check in. I didn't pay much attention to it. I didn't do it. The day of my reservation, I got another text asking me to complete my check in. I looked a little closer and it was in reference to Holliday Inn SE- Medical, which I'd canceled from, and had a cancelation confirmation email. I got back on Booking to see if I could figure anything out, and to get the address for that location to call that Holliday Inn Express. I then saw the price had dropped back to five dollars over the "regular" price, which frustrated me. Also, when I called the facility, I pretty quickly realized I was taking to an AI which identified "herself" as Gloria. Kind of creepy. It gave me a number to customer service. I called it and talked to another AI. I can't remember "his" name right now.

Best I can tell, it's worked itself out, but caused me some frustration.
