Wonderful experience, friendly staff great amenities and very charming atmosphere
Your staff is very friendly and accommodating having provided me with a mini-fridge and ironing board/iron. The bathroom is pretty but low marks for functionality. No drawers, tub is just a tub… no jacuzzi, toilet is way too low and the lid is cheap (loose, won’t stay open, and not soft-close), and the shower is very tight. The worst thing was the massive party that was scheduled delivering loud, thumping music late into the night. For those of us that had to get to bed early for an early flight the next morning… totally unacceptable. The one decent thing was that I was given a different room on the other side. This did require packing entirely, unpacking, and repacking when I needed to be in bed. Decide whether you’re a hotel or a venue.
Intercontinental Buckhead is on the ball. From check in to concierge to executive lounge it is all first class. I visit this hotel a few times a year and each time is even better. This time I also had dinner at Americano and the lamb chops were outstanding. The server suggested two wines to pair and let me sample a little of each to help me decide which one. The gym is very up to date with equipment.
We have stayed at the InterContinental Buckhead several times, and unfortunately, the same small but noticeable issues seem to happen during every visit. Despite always booking the room for two people, there is consistently only one bathrobe provided, and at turndown service, only one chocolate is left instead of accommodating both guests. These details may seem minor, but they do take away from the overall experience, especially at a hotel of this caliber.
During our most recent stay on April 3, 2026, we arrived around 11:40 PM after a long 9-hour drive from Florida. While my husband handled the luggage, I went to the bar, which is listed as closing at midnight. The bartender informed me that last call had already been at 11:30 PM. I politely explained that we had just checked in after a long drive and asked if we could quickly get two glasses of champagne to take to the room, but the request was denied. After that, I asked if I could at least have two champagne glasses since we had brought a bottle with us, and the bartender was noticeably unwelcoming and seemed reluctant to provide them, which added to the frustration.
While I understand policies must be followed, a bit of flexibility or hospitality in that moment would have gone a long way—especially for tired guests arriving late at night.
To add to the disappointment, when we got to the room and went to use the ice bucket, we found that it had not been cleaned or refreshed from the previous guest—it still contained melted ice water and the used bag. This was particularly concerning, as cleanliness should be a non-negotiable standard.
If the hotel enforces strict policies in certain areas, there should be equally strict attention to cleanliness and guest readiness.
I'm writing a this review to thank the front desk staff, especially Rahma, for their top notch service during our stay. My partner and I had foreign visitors in town on business and we chose the Intercontinental for our stay. The reservations were made by a 3rd party booking agent from another country. There were seven of us in total that had paid receipts sent to us complete with reservation confirmation numbers. We do this all of the time and have never had an issue. During this event only two of the rooms were booked correctly. We had five people with no room, incorrect lengths of stay, etc. By it being from an out of country agent, we could not reach them and had to contact the department that actually paid them. While they attempted to sort it out we had people in limbo that had traveled over 18 hours to meet us. The Intercontinental staff, led by Rahama, came to the rescue. She worked tirelessly to assist us in resolving our issue. We took so much time getting it sorted, others had to come from the back to assist the other hotel guests (sorry everyone) checking in, keeping the lobby clear. They worked like a well oiled machine, executing their tasks, and always smiling. Our issue was eventually resolved and things went smoothly afterwards for our team. I'd like to thank Rahma and the staff for making our stay successful and enjoyable. We really appreciate your efforts. If you are in town for business or pleasure, I recommend Intercontinental Buckhead. You won't be disappointed.
Stayed at the InterContinental Buckhead and honestly the first 3 minutes set the tone.
Got out of the Uber and between valet and the front desk we were greeted by like five different people. After a long travel day, that kind of energy matters more than people think.
We had our newborn with us and the desk agents actually introduced themselves to her too, which was just a really nice touch.
Shoutout to Elijah, Michael, and Kristen. Great start to the trip.
We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t be happier with the service. Traveling with a 3 month old is stressful but the staff made everything smooth from the moment we arrived. Matthew and Elijah at the front desk were incredibly friendly, kind and efficient. Check-in was great and that was key after a long day of travel.

My first time staying at the intercontinental, and it more than they seated expectations. From the moment you step out of your vehicle, until the time of departure, any requests, every need, is met with courtesy and a smile. It was actually almost impossible to go around any corner without the staff member smiling and asking you how your stay has been. Also want to give special recognition to the staff of the americana. Phil, Katie, and Fabi, literally made me feel like I was at home. I'm traveling back down to Atlanta in june, and I will definitely be staying again!
The car service at this beautiful hotel was a bonus! A newer and very clean suv available to drop my husband and I off locally made us feel very special. The driver was friendly, professional, and timely. And they did not forget to open my door. Thank you, Teddy and Sakur!!! A little extra luxury is always a good thing! 🙏🏽
