Great place, great experience, perfect for business trip
Pros:

Everything was perfect! Even tough there were a little bit of difficulty with interacting (unfortunately I don't speak Chinese), the staff was very gentle and patient!
The gym was really good, with the essential but very spacious!
Another really good point was the breakfast, plenty of different type of food, mostly from Chinese and Japanese cultures.

Cons:

Very few people understanding English but again they all are really patientt and with alipay translator in the end everything was solved

Cons:

Small shop at the hotel should be able to accept credit cards but it is a minor issue. Exchange office is at the reception.

Pros:

Beautiful place. Amazing food. Gorgeous staff (women and men alike) and all are kind and respectful and clean and helpful. All have translation apps and try genuinely their best to communicate in English with me without sounding like it's a chore.

One recommendation I would add is clear restaurant sifns\brands labels with map guide with "you are here" markers\checkpoints. I spent hours trying to find the entrance to the cafe and Italian Bistro after already trying the 5th floor restaurants. And the hotel is huge. If there was supposed to be a trail outside, o couldn't find it due to lack of signs. But i am only nitpicking because I needed any excuse to enjoy the lazy 5 star life instead of walking around :)

Intercontinental Century City hotel room review
Pros:

Well, definitely appreciate all the detailed attention Jin Jin, Richard and the team service is efficient and appreciated. The Intercontinental Century City team work hard day and night to check in various guests and large groups consistently. They've made me feel like a second family and I highly recommend them if you're visiting Chengdu in the future! They've upgraded me at various times which is appreciated too!

Beautiful mix of classic and modern Chinese luxury architecture
Pros:

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at InterContinental Century City Chengdu, where I booked the Executive 1-Bedroom Suite with Club InterContinental lounge access. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the contrast between the hotel's modern exterior architecture and the rich, traditional Chinese design inside. Stepping into the lobby and my suite felt like being transported into an ancient Chinese palace, with stunning intricate woodwork, elegant décor, and a warm, cultural ambiance.

My Executive Suite was incredibly spacious (108 sqm), featuring panoramic city views, a deep soaking tub, a separate living area, and luxurious Byredo amenities. Every detail was well thought out, making my stay both comfortable and indulgent.

One of my favorite parts of the hotel was the beautiful tea house located just above the breakfast restaurant. Even though it was indoors, the design—with trees, shaded areas, and ornate details—made it feel like a tranquil outdoor retreat.

The gym was quite large and well-equipped, perfect for maintaining a fitness routine. While the property doesn't have a pool, it makes up for it with a full-service onsite spa for relaxation. Plus, its prime location next to the Chengdu Century City Convention Center makes it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Overall, I loved my experience here—elegant, comfortable, and rich in culture. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chengdu!
