Pros:

The Unit was well presented and the pool is great. What I liked best was the air conditioning which was brilliant and the best I've felt anywhere in coping with the extreme humidity days when they occur.

Pros:

The property was in a great location, very close to everything but our room looked very tired. There were fake flowers everywhere, which made the room look very cheap. Plus there was no chopping board even though there was a kitchen. It made cooking with two kids very hard.

Pros:

Great apartment but pool one of the key reasons I booked it and it was not heated and very cold. Too cold to swim in 25 degree weather.

Pros:

The grounds were beautiful and the location was handy to the beach and restaurants. The view from the balcony over the grounds and pool was beautiful. Although very cold the pool is stunning and very relaxing to pull up a deck chair and relax. The apartment we were given was on the third level and quite a walk from the elevator which is a drama when you have three kids wanting to go to the pool and beach and back multiple times a day. The kitchen facilities would be ok to cook for one to two people but not a family. Everything was satisfactory for what we paid except for one detail - the master bed smelt like sweat. The linen looked clean so the smell must be coming from the mattress. I had to spray perfume just so I could go to sleep because laying there thinking I was laying in another persons sweat was very uncomfortable for me. I would suggest a waterproof mattress protector to contain the smell.

Pros:

We enjoyed the pool with the kids and the room was nice and spacious. The location was great too close to lovely cafes and restaurants and not a long walk to the beach and kids park.

Great resort but careful who you book with.
Pros:

Imagine Drift Is an amazing family friendly resort with privately owned rooms that are managed/let by a variety of agents. This room was let via Elysium, the resort next door. The resort has a fabulous pool area that caters for all ages. The location is incredible with only steps to the beach, and a huge range of restaurants and cafes. The room was un-renovated and not clean. There was open good in the cupboard and the dishes unwashed. The shower curtain was moldy and disgusting, and you couldn’t shower without it touching you.
We would stay at Drift again, but be sure to book through the resort itself and the staff are supper helpful. They can point you in the direction of an updated room.

Pros:

Great location, close to beach and restaurants.

The 2 bedrooms were great, however the 2nd bed had wheels so it kept on moving and wasn’t great for kids.

Hotel close to the beach
Pros:

Issues

1. Design of the rooms for two couples in two double beds that were only separated by frosted sliding glass did not provide any sort of privacy.

2. Very dated, paint work and general condition of items were old and clunky.

3. Water leak from water garden and rock pool resulted in large stagnate pool of water below our unit that resulted in unpleasant smell in the area of building 4 and the bbq area.

4. Lack of cutlery, only 2 forks for 4 people.

"This is not a hotel"
Pros:

This is a self serviced appartments it was over priced for lack of service and location.
Very bad bedroom and unit layout. Pool and outdoor area was good.
Could not get anything as the booking through the hotel which I did not seee on the ad "read carefully"
Had to pay $5 each for a beach towel to hire after paying $590 for two nights.
Through the hotel they were free if you stayed with them.
Won't be staying again.

Awesome pool, great location
Pros:

The pool was the highlight of this hotel. It was MASSIVE and didnt matter how many people were in there, you never felt like you were swimming on top of anyone.

I loved the gardens and our room was very private. Excellent place for kids. The fishpond at reception was a real hit!

Nice hotel. Not welcoming to kids.
Pros:

Nice hotel good facilities. Elysium staff were lovely but you also have to deal with the Drift staff separately and they made you feel unwelcome because of your kids.

The Drift - tranquil inside, close to the beach.
Pros:

The Drift is a nice place, very close to the beach and the main esplanade strip if you want to grab a coffee or a meal. But it has an extensive pool complex inside, with a real rainforest feel - complete with animal chirps and squawks all night long. The pool was freezing (mid-August) but there is a communal hot tub and plenty of lounges to sunbake on. It's quiet inside, other than the constant animal noises after dark.

A bit odd that you would have to pay extra for Wi-Fi, if there was any actual reception in the rooms. So you have to rely on your own 3G or 4G, which works fine, but chews up serious bandwidth if you want to watch Netflix. Our room had a DVD player, but couldn't play HD BluRay discs. Given it's 2016 it's probably about time they got updated tech, yeah? Did I mention there was no Wi-Fi reception?

Would I go back there? Sure, but maybe I'd haggle over the rates a bit first.

Incorrectly Advertised as BEACHFRONT APARTMENT
Pros:

apartment was approximately 300 metres from the beachfront & was situated at rear of the complex with absolutely no sea views. Manager when questioned re advertising a beachfront apartment stated that the complex was beachfront but that we should have stipulated ocean views. To her credit she offered to cancel our booking which we did after arranging to stay at Elysium for ONE night only. Charge including cleaning levy for this night was $490 which I guess incorporated a cleaning fee of $230 !!!
manager advised they would amend their advertising because it was confusing.
A very disappointing experience.
